a number of weeks ago i had the opportunity to visit the Ny
Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen. its collection of art
from 3000BC to the present was very impressive and it was
great for me, as an american, to view the works of modern
danish artists. what was also impressive was the structural
acoustics of the museum.

for you danes and anyone who is visiting copenhagen: go to
the ancient art(ifacts) section and sit down. listen to the
acoustics for a while, especially around noon when the
museum's only been open for a short while and people are
still trickling in. listen carefully and you will hear the
most warped but crisp sounding reverberations you've ever
heard. it's an absolute pleasure for the ears. it reminded
me a whole lot of the weird voices RDJ throws onto his
albums. i wouldn't be surprised if he's sampled the voices
at the Glyptotek.
