Now it's a cinch. Hated it for months... now it may be my
favorite album ever.

That's about the 563,847th time I've typed that above
statement out. It grows on you, like a cancer... a
wonderful, life giving sparkly cancer with candy.

I agree, it's very addictive in its texture.

That's my favorite thing about confield. Every track has
texture. Like, feeling and stuff. Dots.

vi scose poise makes me think of little bars muzzying around
these glass spheres twirling in circles

i really hate that piano shit tho

vi scose poise (track1) and gantz graf are almost the same
song, the way the THUDDING degrades itsself to lower
frequencies and tempo's immediately

or they just used the same toys to create the track with..
either way both have MUCH in common

you dont like the piano? the melody part?

thats the best part!!!!!!!!

it goes with it so well....

okok like a third of the way into gantz graf's breakdown
after the ultraviolent crescendo @ 1:00 - the cascading
crashes and destructive noises, how the deeper ones totally
eclipse the higher in just a moments time is what i mean

that effect happens throughout confield. it leads me to
believe confield is just a display of their new "toys" for
an entire genre of music they're going to create that's
dynamic in every part of itself as far as their
"instruments" go. i could be wrong.

oh the piano's? i think they sound really out of place, but
i guess those noises might get boring without it!

Stuff like track 1 and bine are what intelligent music is
about, completely throwing out a linear tempo for example,
working from one's own discoveries and rejecting that which
has been handed down through culture. Or something and junk.
I currently don't like most of the tracks as much as most of
the tracks from lp5, ep7, chichlisuite though.

but most all of the tracks on ep5, ep7 and cichli have
linear tempos

Confield = brainwashing. All i hear is "i didn't like it
before but now its growing on me". I have come to the
conclusion that SUBLIMINAL MIND phrases run rampant to TRASH
your mind and CORRUPT your thinking so you BUY more of the
cds. Its all for money! ITS ALL FOR POWER!!!!!!!

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing record...it's the only thing i've been listening to
lately. The sound of that record is so "full" Uviol is such
an amazing track.

i always get 'confield phases', where i cant stop listening
to the album for like a month, then i dont listen to it for
a couple of weeks, and plunge right back into it for another
month. repeat.

...confield is an uncannily crafted masterpiece that's a
quantum leap farther than anything else at the moment.

Confield was my first Autechre album, believe it or not. I
wasn't so keen on it [although I heard that clip of VI Scose
Poise on the Warp website and loved it and bought Confield].
But something inside me told me, 'I love this record'. And I
listened and listened and it took time. I went on long walks
listening to Confield overandover. And now it's =2nd
favourite album ever, behind Kid A and equal with Geogaddi
[depends on my mood].

Been listening to LP5 loads today though...
