That was me making fun of brits not football BTW I like all sports except mb golf (to watch). So dainty in golf. Everyone be quiet and do tiny claps, the man has to concentrate. Baseball is 1000x harder and more awesome and the hitter is dealing with jeers and loud shit all the time. Any other golf thoughts??? I think their little country clubs and club regulations are for male karens.

Actually the most annoying faggletooth internet hipster beavers ate the guys who post in a sports thread on reddit or something and say "yay sportsball" like they're above sports because they wear a hipster pointed goatee. I admit I only love baseball and basketball really but I think I veered in that post direction with my UK assault and id like to sincerely apologize.

Don't apologise. I wish I "got" sports but I just don't. I know I'm missing out but I just can't "see" what I'm meant to be appreciating. My ex-partner watched a lot of football/soccer and I would ask her what bit was I meant to be watching. What made that bit good or bad. I understand goals, but all it looked to me like was a lot of fouling and then throwing your hands up in the air saying I didn't do any fouling and I, not even a Ref, could see that you've fouled. And if one thing does upset me it's foul play.
I do like Golf however. It's like Ambient Sport. I like it in the coverage when rain halts play and they just show the landscape and stop talking.

It's ok we can't all like proper sports instead of 2 hours of advertising and 10 minutes of tactics and 20 seconds of actual play!

golf is awesome, loved to watch it on tv when I was a kid and in Italy wasn't a big thing, and pay tvs didn't exist yet, certainly an activity to look for (watching it) if I reach the pension age

When Roger Ebert was first sidelined with cancer (woulda been around 2006) and David Lynch's Inland Empire came out, I sent him an email. Some other douchebag wrote the review for Inland Empire on rogerebert.com.
I said "Hey Roger hope you're doing well. I'm just writing in hopes that you eventually review David Lynch's Inland Empire, as past reviews have been somewhat contentious and would love to hear your thoughts."
He replied: "will do so. cheers."
NOW THATS A FUCKING LEGEND.
(he never reviewed it and died 10 years later without a jaw)
