Onions are disgusting, they make me cry.
Dill pickle chips are nice... imagine onion chips. That
would make me vomit and possibly choke on my vomit and die,
a la Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix. So onions are lethal.

Onions are a staple in any basic kitchen. they are used in
all kinds of things, like soups, stocks, sauces, and as a
side vegetable... you can put them on hotdogs and
hamburgers, on a good poutine, caramelized, in onion rings,
raw... the list goes on... pickles on the other hand... are
useful but are optional in any basic kitchen, so I have to
say onions.
