Yes, very. I prefer Tri Repetae, but Amber is still ace. More melodic than recent stuff. |

i think i got it on cd, my mate gave me a cdr with autechre written on it, and i think it is amber - if it is, i think it is very good and very weird in parts. |

i do accept that this cd i have may not be amber, and sorry, i cannot find the words to explain what i meant, but don't get me wrong - i did like it. |

amber is great if you like the more ambient stuff. there are some brilliant songs on it like teartear, further and slip. imo |

Well, I've listened to it twice while going to sleep. Both times I fell asleep after about 1 song so most of the album is in my subconscious and I don't know what it sounds like still (at least consciously). What I heard was different that what I expected. I was hoping for more interwoven intelligent melodies like tri rep's end of the second song on the second cd. This sounds more like incunubulaish. It's all subjective of course, but so far I think it ranks below autechre, ep7, tri rep, chichlisuite but above incunubula and anti ep at least. |
