Likely those mp3 were deleted. Whoever got em probably doesn't like RDJs music and probably had no idea they were unreleased gems and so they deleted them.
LIKELY.

i'm so glad that occured to you. that's the first thing i thought when i read the story. it astounds me how richard has the gall to think whoever happened to find it would instantly recognize unreleased aphex twin songs without any sort of artist identification or song titles (unless it's an mp3 player with those things, i've never used one) and have the intuition to transfer them to the computer and put them online. highly unlikely. i totally think the scenario you just described is what happened to them, which is a shame cos i'd love for someone to upload that stash. but it ain't gonna happen.

It is really too bad. I'd feel like a kid in a candy store if a couple hundred unreleased aphex cuts just showed up on adiogalaxy. Probably not going to happen, but stranger things have occured on Earth.

exactly. there was a DAT or two stolen from u2's studio during the achtung baby sessions, and something like a 10 CD set came out containing the entire thing, every take. madness. a good lot of those songs didn't make it onto the album, probably because of the bootlegging.
