i had the great pleasure of seeing squarepusher at coachella
yesterday. anybody else go?

clobeSmith on 2001-04-30 04:33 [#00005115]

oh shit, i'm sorry, didn't realize there was another post
about squarepusher ... oh well

how was it??

5is6 from centeroftheultraworld on 2001-04-30 05:34 [#00005124]

coachella's today so I'm wondering how you got to see it
yesterday. strange

clobesmith on 2001-04-30 06:06 [#00005127]

it was cool. i saw the last half of plaid (great) and the
first half of squarepusher (which for me, was the highlight
of the day). weezer was actually sort of a let down. i
love them, but the audience wasn't that into it and they
didn't play some songs i wanted to hear (but still good).
sigur ros was cool. it was great seeing them cause i
probably won't get to see them again. it was also cool
seeing how they got that guitar sound (think jimmy page),
but it was late and made me sleepy. ian pooley was cool
too.

5is6: today is sunday, coachella was on saturday ...
yesterday.

strange, my info told me it was today, Sunday. I pulled due
to the Twins cancellation which I assumed was only there for
marketing purposes anyways. Hope the $65 was worth it.

clobeSmith on 2001-04-30 07:13 [#00005131]

so very worth it. should have gone ... it was great, though
there were parts during the day where i was just thinking,
"ah man, wish aphex twin was here, that would top the
day"--or something like that. glad i went, cause i got to
see a bunch of acts i normally would not get to see

i was @ coachella as well.
it was very very very good.
squarepusher was excellent.
if you read the messageboards @ coachella.com, ppl there say
that they saw Aphex hanging out there. they say he popped
his head up once or twice. I was in the VERY FRONT row and I
aw i guy you could mistake for aphex if you were stoned out
of your gourd, but i didn\'t think i saw Him. Did anybody
else see Him or think they saw Him?

I had the pleasure of recording the Coachella show via
minidisc and it turned out half-way decent. Anyone want to
trade for it?

qnoop from one two three get loose now on 2001-05-08 16:38 [#00005900]

I would but I have nothing for which to trade...

I was going to do the same with my MD, but was misinformed
the security would be much tighter. A pox ye friend who told
me that! Upon returning to where I was staying, I found
that it (along with approx. 35 discs) the wee machine was
gone. All your eggs, one basket....

If you got []pusher, though....
I'll give you my first born son for it.....anything...my
soul....take it...

Nought to do with cocc(whatever), but does anyone know when
big red motor (i think its called that) is out. BTW,
squarepusher is my second fave artist, behind mr d. james.

gnoop, send forth your first born and your eternal soul to
me. Or a copy of autechres Japanes radiomix would do as
well. And of course CAT023 wouldnt hurt either.
