wow gwarek2 is creepy.
some chick in sweaky shoes being chased by a guy with a lead
pipe and then flushing herself down a toilet while someone
bounces a four square ball.

Fresch from Trondheim, Norway on 2001-10-18 00:47 [#00043121]

i love those crash hats on Taking Control..they just sound
so cheesy and ravey.

DblHeLX from moon on 2001-10-18 00:49 [#00043123]

i like the humorless laugh samples.

Fresch from Trondheim, Norway on 2001-10-18 00:54 [#00043129]

haven't heard the whole album, yet...
are you referring to his mum on Lornaderek...she's got a
freaky laughter.

osama bin twin on 2001-10-18 04:07 [#00043171]

drukqs is rediq. he released these shitty songs as a final
"fuck you" to warp, only to release the good stuff on his
own label later? drukqs is rediq.

Baron Von Picklefoot from The Baron Got a new computer !!!! on 2001-10-18 04:51 [#00043176]

Sing songs of underdepression love chemical imbalance in the
perfect world I set the perfect mood !THE BARON HAS SPOKEN!

Taxi on 2001-10-18 05:13 [#00043177]

I am sorry. Fukqs was a weak album...

DblHeLX from moon on 2001-10-18 06:11 [#00043183]

on taking control theres this laugh like.
hu...huhuhuh...hu uhuh.

DblHeLX from moon on 2001-10-18 06:20 [#00043184]

taxi, what is fukqs??

do you seriously not like the new album. why??

Taxi on 2001-10-18 06:49 [#00043186]

It lacked in effort, style, content, humor, and just about
anything else that I really appreciated from aphex twin.
Don't get me wrong. It was OK. But I really did expect
something that was at least pretty good.

I mean, I guess lornaderek was kind of funny. But nothing
like funny little man or to cure a weakling child or come on
you slags.

And the 8 minute long drill n bass tracks? Please. They were
great when they didn't go past 3 minutes, but you can only
draw something out for so long.

Every other album he has added something new to music (or at
least to IDM). SAW II, windowlicker, RDJ album, what have
you. They were all unique and interesting. Drukqs does sound
like a bunch of shit he pulled of the shelf to sell.

Archrival from NY on 2001-10-18 10:32 [#00043219]

Drukqs is a beautiful album!!!! Better than RDJ album.

DblHeLX from moon on 2001-10-18 15:58 [#00043289]

taxi.
all his albums are different. what did you expect an extra
long rdj album?
come to daddy part II?
i think drukqs is a great epitaph for his work. it has all
his styles well mixed, wonderfully mastered and produced.
when i first rdj album, i tought it was too short and the
static feedback from lazy mastering was weak.
now i think its beutifully paced and the static ads to the
organic tecture of the album.
i think drukqs will grow on us.

Super Magnetic Neo from Australia on 2001-10-18 17:24 [#00043318]

From the samples I've heard I'm in love with it.

Isn't Avril 14th just the most beautiful song you've heard?

Some how I think we've got another SAW II on our hands (Lots
of people iffy about it then later on the beauty will grow
on them) :-p

DblHeLX from moon on 2001-10-18 17:28 [#00043322]

avril 24 is great

DblHeLX from moon on 2001-10-18 17:31 [#00043324]

oops i mean 14

osama bin twin on 2001-10-18 17:55 [#00043326]

it will not grow unless you make it. why waste your time
(you know you're gonna be mine).

Taxi on 2001-10-18 18:21 [#00043331]

There was no musical development present on this album. And
don't tell me that Afx can't do for some improvement...

I mean, all the good stuff could have been fit onto on of
the discs...

I could have done without an entire albums worth of filler
personally.
