 | I'm tempted to say something like "make it big" by his alias "wham!", but I don't know... I might get banned or
something. Why don't you go to cdnow.com, listen to the mp3
 samples and decide for yourself?

 | Green CALX. I recommend Green CALX.
Seriously, though, pick up Selected Ambient Works 85-92.
You'll pay a few dollars more than a normal CD since it's
only in import pressings (in America) but it's well worth
 it.

 | SAW 85-92 isn't that wonderful.
I'd recomend any of the recent LP's (i.e. I care because you
do, Richard D James) or the E.P Come To Daddy... Just find a
file sharing service, and search aphex twin, and download
everything you can find, listen to them, whatever you like
the most, pick up that album.

 | you should listen to everything...
everyone here has his favourite albums, some prefer the
early ones (selected ambient works vol.1, analogue
bubblebath), some prefer i care because you do and the
richard d. james album, some prefer selected ambient works
vol.2, some prefer this and his more recent ones like come
to daddy and windowlicker or even his new drukqs. i love the
selected ambient works, donkey rhubarb, boy girl ep., come
to daddy and windowlicker (for track 2 and 3).

so really, listen to everything, and find your own
favourites, that's the best way to get into richard d.
 james' music.

 well, anyway, listen to...

boy girl (from the richard d. james album or the boy girl
 ep.)

flim, come to daddy little lord faulteroy mix and iz-us
(from the come to daddy ep.)

 nannou (from windowlicker)

i guess these tracks are a very good introduction into
 aphex...

 | i have only heard excerpts from drukqs, but what i heard was great. so, check this out, too. it seems that it's a very
uncommon album (but which aphex album wasn't?), there are
tracks for piano, prepared piano, and more 'traditional'
 electronic tracks.

 | no, i don't think it's ok... it's really embarrassing. i'm doing here my would be aphex authority and in turn i make a
mistake. i listen to this song so often and i don't know
it's correct name (but until this i knew it... strange).
could you imagine, richard d. james is reading this and
laughing out loud, 'oh yes, i always said that my fans are
fucked up.' and his girlfriend says, ' don't do this, don't
read the messageboards of your fans, you will get your
nervous breakdown again, aphex.' poor aphex :-D

would give up swearing. you know mummy is visiting us at
weekend, and she is so easily shocked. play one of your nice
tunes on the piano to here, and she'll be nice, too. and
also don't make that ugly faces again when she's here.'
