I scheme they're gonna go all mellow, easy listenin.....I
dunno...I've got a gut feeling...that'd be such a shame

nah, I think its goin to be very much like Confield. Alittle
more melody (only a LITTLE), and it will be pretty crazy,
just like confield, but not so harsh. Definatly not anything
like Gantz Graf.

But thats just what I think.

god I hope it'll be a step back... let it be a step back...
LP5 was too short... Incunabula was... well, Incunabula
wasn't, but Chiastic and LP5 WERE too short.

I hate to upset you guys, as you are all my most precious of
friends, but I foresee something in the same vein of
Confield, but more pleasant to listen too.. This record will
be nothing like Gantz Graf (fortunately.. this was the only
autechre release I was wholly unpleased with.), expect a tad
more melody than that of Confield... or actually.. I think
it might be the same amount of melody, but it is more
pronounced in the tracks...

Thats what I "foresee" at least.. Zeus has the right idea.

A ''Confield for Dummies'' is what I see in my crystal ball.

bear in mind: gantz graf is ADMITTEDLY material from the
confield sessions, and some of if not most of the music from
confield was recorded YEARS before its release. so to expect
anything just like confield would be a little naive. i say
listen to the exclusive new Ae track on the warp mix for an
idea of how it sounds. obviously it'll keep some of the
ideas they've been exploring these last few years, but the
only reports on the album so far have said "more melodic"
and even "hip-hoppish" beats.

itll maybe be a logic evolution from confield, but with more
beats. i hope it's something i can drive while listening
to.

titsworth:

if confield was recorded well before it was release,
logically, draft 7.30 will also gather material that's been
written well before the release date. therefore we should
expect a certain level of ressemblance to confield, the same
between confield and ep7.

speculation only, of course!

i know, that's what i'm sayin' dogg. a progression, not a
sequel.

ok, i thought you meant that confield was released in 2001,
but the material was made something like 2 years before that
date, so 1999. meaning that there's a space of 4 years
between the material of confield and draft, meaning they
would sound nothing alike.

but i get what you meant.

i think it will be more of a sequal. obviously there will be
progressions... but in the end, it will be Confield part 2.

to me it seems that the only type of person who would
suggest that would be the type of person who doesn't see a
big jump between previous albums. if you don't consider
yourself in that category, why do you think this will be
their first exception in 10 years?
