i've downloaded a couple of really nice tracks, supposedly BOC tracks; 03.boards of canada- godever.mp3 (FANTASTIC!!!) 02.boards of canada - closes volume 1 - 01 - treeline.mp3 01.boards of canada - duffy1.mp3 05.boards of canada - wouldn't you like to be free.mp3 06.boards of canada - hooper bay - 03 - circle.mp3 07.boards of canada - unknown - track 12.mp3 08.boards of canada - unknown - track 13.mp3 some seem to be faded out on purpose at the end.. anyone have the full tracks/ep's/albums? :] |

That 'Circle' sounds as though it was written on computer, way too clean for something that's supposedly only released on 12" and cassette. I doubt it's genuine. Nice little melodies though. I wouldn't bother wasting your time hunting for this stuff. If it's any good BoC will release it. It's in their best interests. |

Godever: If you are saying fantastic it's probably not the real one. The real godever is actually a bit cheesy. You probably got the BoC poppy seed remix that was shortened by some anonymouse person. Treeline: If your treeline starts with a female type voice saying something like Bring Back Memories, no that's not the real one. THat was a song someone made and another person renamed it to that. Circle - Probably real, they had a short clip of it on their website and that's probably what you got Duffy - See circle Wouldn't you like to be free - See circle Unkown Tracks - These are unkown unconfirmed tracks posted on the Yahoo BoC chat group. Noone knows if they are real or not. |

apparently godever is a fake. although there were a few old mp3s which came from an old version of the official boards of canada site. that godever track does sounds like BoC a lot howver, and its very good, worth d/l even if it does happen to be a fake. |

Yes, Godever is meant to be a fake. However, I also agree it is well worth a DL as it is great music- regardless of who made it. |

'godever' has got that cheezey 80's sound which i love. it reminds me of that eerie pop-song featured in "the silence of the lambs", when that psycho kidnapped that woman, and he's dancing around naked infront of a mirror.. . |

i just found out last week that two of my tracks are being shared as rare boc songs on soulseek. the two songs are "circle" and "trillions"... and i would like to say again that these songs were not intented to be fake boc songs. i had never heard even heard of boc when i did them, and i would never do that kind of a cheap skam. i have no idea who renamed and what's the motivation behind this... |
