For anyone who wants to join a last ditch (and probably
pointless) attempt to stop our PM launching us into an
idiotic war led by George W there is a protest starting at
embankment at 12:30 on 15th Feb.
Come and show support - NOT IN OUR NAME!
xx

edna,

No we need to teach Saddam Hussein a lesson, liberate his
people and restore democracy. Now surely Edna you can't have
a problem with that?

US forces are already gearing up in the Persian gulf
(including reserves)...it's going to happen, regardless of
what happens on January 28th...

Look...

I admire anybody with an honest opinion for or against war,
but the fact of the matter is this is something that
should've been taken a decade ago...the removal of a
terroist-harboring, iron-fisted scumbag who has caused
nothing but trouble for everyone in and out of his
influence...

It's time to end this...now.

I'm sorry that's an unpopular view in the eyes of many, but
that's how I feel, honest and truly, despite past history,
despite future consequences...

The anti-war forces lost this battle, move on...

:(

DaWeeze,

Yeah man totally with you. Finally someone talking sense.
Yeah liberate the Iraqi people of this murderous loony!

What a relief to hear someone finally talk some sense. There
is sanity in the world, hallelujah.

I'm not concerned about the Iraqi people; they really have
no say in this, and are ultimately nothing more than victims
of circumstance...tragic.

With luck, they'll have new leaders emerge who will see
their displacement in world affairs, and act accordingly to
get them back to a point where their nation is
self-sufficient again...

Hell I want Saddam Hussein out to as you said should have
been done in the original Gulf War but they didn't go the
whole hog, sham really.

Just to clarify:

1. I don't like George Bush, but I DESPISE his
administration (especially V.P. Cheney and Attorney General
Ashcroft).

2. The UN is a worthless organization for solving
international disputes.

3. Everybody is guilty in this folly of war.

this is far more complicated than is seen on CNN..

1) oil... money talks..
2) why should anyone other than USA have nuclear weapons...
hell, they're even setting up an offshore base now...
3) we didn't finish it last time round because there are far
more deranged people ready to set into Saddams shoes...
4) everyone needs a good war to justify the $Xbn spent of
defence budgets..
5) do i need to think of a fifth ?
