Surfing on Sine Waves? Surfing?

I was listening to surfing on sine waves the other day in
my car, driving to the beach, getting ready to do some
surfing, and then I wonderd if any of you guys/gals do some
surfing? I wonder if richard ever gave it a try.

People surf in all kinds of conditions and places now adays.
Alaska, Ireland, Maine...... and wet suit technology and
design has gotten so good its amazing. I have been surfing
since I was 8 years old. Its just great fun, especially with
close friends and family. Sometimes I surf on a short board,
but I mostly longboard. I have a 9'8 Boss board, a template
that is based of how boards were shaped in the 60's. I like
that classic style, riding the nose, trimming, I try and
stick to that style of surfing. I surf at a spot called
San-O, I am part of the sano surf club and usually go out
every morning, fun stuff. I used to compete but I dont like
the compeditive attitude that goes along with it. You meet
some really good people and its like family almost when you
go out enough at your favorite spot. Nothing like surfing in
the summer time and hot dogging it on your board to show off
to the ladies with the tiny amounts of clothing. ;*)

So have any of you been out surfing? did you have fun? Did
you go longboarding, shortboarding, bodyboarding, body
surfing, skim boarding? People here are from Japan,
Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, U.S, England.... all over,
and surfing is all over the world now, kinda neat to know
you can surf just about anywhere.

i live in minnesota so no surfing for me. i am a little
envious of you as i'd love to surf. it seems like such a
sublime sport. there are certain hardcore crazy surfers who
head north to Lake Superior during the stormy season, wait
for some deadly winds and hit those waves. the thing is,
lake superior is like 33 degrees farenheit!

I've surfed once or twice. I could stand up OK but the waves
were really small. It was great though, i'd love to do it
properly.

I skate (when the weather allows it) quite a bit, theres
loads of good spots and skateparks here. I've skated for
about 12 years. And I still fking love it. I kind of skate
miniramps and bowls like surfing, slash grinds, frontside
ollies etc. No switch hardflips for me.

little guy. I still do every now and then.

:*)

Jupitah Ive seen a video of those crazy people at the lakes
who charge that crazy cold water... thats NUTS!

When I finish school I gotta set up a international surf
camp/bed and breakfast or something for you guys/gals.

Richard would of almost certainly tried surfing at some
point- Cornwall (where Richard grew up) has most of the good
surfing beaches in the UK. Most cornish youths have at least
had a go.

I can surf on a board (not very well) and I haven't for
years now, but I'm still a pretty decent surf canoeist.

I'm not a record "collector", but I do wish they'd re-issue
surfing on sine waves on vinyl.

Cornwall one of the best surfing beaches in the U.K? wow
thats a neat factoid, thanks Ceri JC.

On the sleeve of Surfing on sine waves, the picture with
Richard going down the subway stairs, on the release
Budakhan Mindphone by squarepusher, Tom is in the same
stairway on the back side of the album, it looks like the
same stairway anyway.

Ha CHa cHA

I went to Corwall at xmas... it's beautiful. I went to a
cove / beach that looks like the one on the cover of Sine
waves... lots of surfers there, some pretty big rollers
coming in. I took a few photos which i'll put up if anyone
wants to see them.
