i love Björk too.

the picture is from the Lars von Trier movie 'Dancer in the
Dark'.
the man with the moustache is the actor who played Godrich
Nový in the movie. i don't know the real name...

hm... hm... i listened to your songs, and they were okay...
but nothing really great in my humble opinion.
Playground V3 was my favourite

They all sound pretty decent... nice melodies, nice beats...
but it seems to lack a certain... hm... "something" to
really make it a good song.

Also... the way you fuck up the songs (i mean let them
"explode" if you will... the crazy parts)... it sounds a bit
forced. When Aphex Twin or Squarepusher do something similar
and let their songs explode like that it sound awesome! But
in your songs it just doesn't seem to flow naturally... if
that makes any sense. You probably already had thought to
make that part when you started working on the song... and i
can imagine when Tom Jenkinson is working on a song that
crazy part just comes naturally... because his songs need
such a mad ending :-)

Sorry to sound so negative... maybe it will be more fit to
someone else's taste. Good luck and keep trying! The songs
sound decent enough to prove you've got some talent... and i
think with more practice you could do much better
things.

No no, Im thinking about what you said. I think of myself as
and Good Demo Artist but an Bad Artist. And the songs are
not finished versions they need some more mastering to sound
more powerfull. Well thanks again for listening.

Don't get down dude. People post their own music here all
the time so people get sick of it. I'll listen to it
tomorrow when I'm board at work again but I'm off home now.

Yeah my music was fairly ignored, although I can understand
why. I'm on a shitty 56k connection, so that's why I can't
normally listen.

That's my reason as well. If I had broad band, I'd get a lot
more from folks who make music here.

It's probably also because you've only got 41 points so far
(meaning you're fairly new to the board). Alot of people
don't know anything about you yet... so when they see a link
to your song... it's like a song from a stranger.

I guess in general people are more interested to hear the
music made by someone they feel they "know".

I remember along time ago Ophecks downloaded fruityloops and
had made some songs. And people were asking him if he
would please let them hear it :-) He was even saying things
like (altough he will have probably forgotten this :-p >;-))
"i've only had fruityloops for a few hours, they are just
experiments, my songs are shit.", people still wanted to
hear them. Because the man has over 7000 points, and i think
almost everyone who posts on this board knows who ophecks
is. And they must have thought: "hm ophecks... yeah... i
know his views on music, i'm curious how his own music would
sound." And that's why they cared.
Well... that's my theory anyway.

Don't feel down over my comments, people disagree with me
all the time ;-) So it's not like my opinion is fact. If i
don't like something very much, that probably means there
are 100's of people who love it.

I hope you will get some more reviews soon!

Atleast this post bumped it to the top of the list again ;-)

lol. Well Ive been hanging at this mb over a year, the
problem is I dont post. Dont know why I think its
interesting to read the topics so I do so and when ive read
it all i cant find out what to write. I only post after
listening to other peoples music. I even saved som on my
girlfriends computer. Some stuff from Aron i think. And im
listening to Fleas music right know. Well maby ill try
posting some more... =) Up again

"I only post after listening to other peoples
music.
"

aw that's so sad. Always giving feedback to other people...
and now you get none... that sucks. LISTEN TO IT PEOPLE!
Hm... well maybe morton and fat kaimo will come back to
check if they got any response ;-)

I had been lurking around for a long time before i started
posting too... i used to have the same problem... i didn't
know anything to say. But one day i just started... and
quickly became addicted. It may not look like it, but it's
actually very interesting and fun to give your opinions on
every little subject ;-)

Everytime i add something to this thread you probably get
your hopes up that it's a review :-p And all you get is me
rambling. I'll stop now ;-) If another post gets added to
this thread it won't be me, but someone else... hopefully
with a review. And yeah if it doesn't work out try again.
Put the word "sex" somewhere in the subject and you're sure
to get many replies ;-)

w-okay..

I'll give my comments in general, as I've listened to all
three the tracks and they seem to apply to all three of
them..

your music sounds a bit dated, imo. like old AFX. and it
does sound a lot like AFX - I don't like that.
your production is kind of flat - this makes your tracks
sound kind of alike.
the synths you use - they all sound the same.
oh and the voice samples in "enter a garden" - those sound
kind of tacky (has a lot to do with the "datedness" of the
tracks).

the problem lies more or less in the sounds you use. it
feels like you didn't make them, like they are pre-sets. the
tracks don't really entice me because the sounds are bland.
I miss a real love for sound itself, be it harmonic or
whatever.

this all sounds kind of harsh, I'm just trying to be frank
with you :)

Oh I just listened to your tracks and I must say. Youre not
the right person to comment my music. Maby nobody hear is
becouse Im not trying to sound like aphextwin. Or maybe
becouse i have only 49 points.

Okay I am listening to your tracks now...
I try to listen to as many and as often as I can but I am on
a 56k so with mp3.com I listen to things lofi..

I like your songs..your production skills..beats...use of
effects on Enter the Garden are pretty solid..but it's the
over reliance on the melody which is kinda weak that lets it
down..maybe amp up and bring forth your stronger points more
to the fore than the melodies and it will be a lot more
engaging listening...

Playgroud V3..once again good beatwork and processing but
that melody and synth tone just drag it down..

Block of Ice...same... beatwork is the most interesting on
this one for me and earlier on you do warp the synth tones
on the melody a bit which is quite interesting but then it's
almost as if you forgot to keep it up...

but that withstanding..it is pretty good stuff in
general..not far off from some of the stuff being put out on
Rephlex...and I agree AFX didnt cross my mind a single
time..but Ovuca and Astrobotnia did...

Thanks, I downloaded some astrobotnia (never heard them
before) and I couldnt here any similarity to my music ? but
I only downloaded a few songs... Im gonna check Ovuca later.
And yeah Ive heard some of your stuff. Well maby not my
favourite type of music but it sounds good. So good luck
with a record deal.
