Impulse Purchases

Yey, More music. I went to order that 3" Venetian Snares CD
and also got 'Ensemble' 'Sketch Proposals' on pure impulse.
Warpmart is evil for that, It's one of the few places I can
go for one CD and end up buying all kinds of shit. I hope
this CD doesn't suck. (It's on Rephlex, It can't.) Whenever
I go to a music store I like to go to the pound section and
just grab CDs that look cool. I got a 'Sonic Dragolgo' album
doing this and it turned out to be happy hardcore mixed with
noise and Eiffel 65 style vocals with a hint of Gabber. Very
fucked up and when I went to the site it mentioned Kid606 in
the review. I hate being materialistic but when it comes to
music I just can't help it.

I never have any money and it's because of music. I've been
like this since I started. I have too many CDs but not
enough vinyl yet. }:>

I have Yee-King but the vinyl promo of Transllusion did
nothing for me. Bland. :/

I need some DMX Crew, was cheeper then 'Sketch Proposals'
too. Bugger.

heard the transllusion promo, i've just realised they didn't

I buy far too much on impulse. I'm so weak. Normally works
out good, but as for what Spikee said about the money. It's
so true!

Well have a good shopping time. ^^

Gi- It's all like well thats only £9... OH!! VSnares CD!
£11 but I want that one, Hmm this single looks good only
£4 and so on as it adds up and up and thats after one
session. You will go back for more tho! }:> Gah.

I nearly bought AB5 on impulse. Then I realised I don't have
a spare $1000 ;-) seriously though. It is a case of buying
loads of stuff that's quite cheap bacuse the mind goes. Well
that one's £25 so I'll get this £7 instead and this £4
and this £10 and this £5 and before you know it you've
bought more than the price you thought you couldn't afford!
It's so annoying. Why can't everything be paid in Tea bags?

i'm not going to eat for 4 days

I have been collecting vinyl since I was pre-teens mainly
80's onwards...but my vinyl collection and turntable are 800
miles away so I have collecting CD's for the last ten years
exclusively.

But once again a favorite subject >>>>
SHOPPING

I have really blown the budget as I have a special b'day
coming up soon...

So I went to Sounds and purchased

Bjork - Selma Songs
Bjork - Debut
Barry Adamson - The King of the Nothing Hill
John Zorn - Game Pieces Vol 1
Mr Velcro Fastener - Lucky Bastards Living up North
Saveth+Savalas - folk songs for trains, trees and honey
John Spencer Blues Explosion - Extra Width
EchoBoy - Volume 2
Kid Loops Versus Cool Breeze
Grace Jones - Private Life the Compass Point Sessions (its
got an extended ver of My Jamican Guy)

Now I can't wait to unwrap them...

later. Can't do that cuz I still owe him for UI Green. }:>

i rarely buy on impusle actually, i keep a printed out list
from a word processor of records i want so i don't spend
money on shit i don't want. it works most of the time
anyways :)

Unfortunately even though I have a spreadsheet with all the
stuff I want to buy on it I still make impulse buys. I'm so
weak.

RE: Geek?

Yes, I thought that carrying the info around in a Palm Pilot
was geeky, thats what I used to do . . . people tend to
avoid me in shops though, you know, like my mum . . .

Thats not geeky. You need a laptop that connects to your arm
like a large wrist bandage with a lazer eye piece that homes
into certain words inside record stores and is voice
activated. 'Target Located: Rephlex'. That would be geeky!

I hate it when you go into a music shop and see 3 things you
want and can't afford. I just stand there with them in my
hand until I make myself leave. Stoopid. I still impulse buy
weed and beer though, but they're cheaper than CDs.
