Wassup?

this Dutch music magazine called Interface
(www.interface.nl) is having a remix competition,..in which
you may remix a trance (arrgg) track from "Ernesto vs
Bastian,.....

Personally I hate trance ,but I'm always down with
remixing,.....

Trance music is shallow, yes, but I think it will be the
archetype of the late 90s sound. Especially the pop trance
that overran the airwaves recently. I think when I'm fifty
years old and my kids are flipping through radio stations
and some 'retro' pop trance comes on like Amber or DJ
Encore, they'll be like 'what the heck is this??' and I'd
say 'This is what was popular when I was in high school'.
You can't deny it will get better with age..

It's weird...down here when we refer to trance, we're
referring to goa and psy trance, up there (uk) it's all
poppy and housy (ug).

about the trance-term,..confused me also,.like 10 years ago
there wasn't a hint of commercial-dance to it. It got raped
by the likes of Tiesto,......blarchh (vomits on keyboard)
