speedy j is fantastic, i started up a thread about his new
lp a while ago, nobody replied, but i'll take this message
to state that it is also great! Id recommend that anyone
with turntables pick it up, 200 locked looping grooves of
endless dj fun on 2 vinyls

The new one by Speedy J is so different to Ginger, the album
in question.
To those who have not had the pleasure, its very minimal
beats with lush pads and sweeps all over it, bleeps and
blops all over it.
And yes, those locked grooves are fun.

Ginger was an inspiration and saw me thru many a bleary eyed
evening. Production is still mint and its full of
suprises...I love the track R2D2! Saw his new one the other
day...wasn't sure whether to buy, is it very minimalist?

Yes Speedy J is pretty good as I recall. Yeah Ginger I need
to listen to that again I remember it being a pretty wicked
record.

Speedy J collaborated with Mike P for Slag Van Boom as I
understand.

The new one by Speedy J is more techno than IDM, and there
are 2 versions: vinyl is locked grooves only, CD sounds
like a mix album a la Richie Hawtin DE9.

thought that might be the case...I want to keep listening to
techno, but it just can't seem to keep up my attention these
days. Used to love plastikman! Anyone heard Hawtins FUSE
album...that was techno at its best I reckon...
