Spookyluke and I rented "Dancer in the Dark" (with Bjork) from Blockbuster, and their tape keeps getting eaten by my vcr! Its definitely the tape (not my vcr) because I tried a bunch of my other videos, and it *only* happens with this one. Lukes vcr ate it too. The tape comes out and I have to stick my hand in there to unwrap it. :| Then Luke winds it back in the box and we try again. >8( We dont get to finish it! (Its sad--I want to see the rest!) We are only a little over halfway through. And I dont know if we will be able to find it anywhere else. ;( Any suggestions? |

Do a Search and Buy yourselves a copy from and for a bit more they will throw in Requiem for a Dream..coool What a pain in the butt, I gave on renting from video shops as I had to use my Maxwell video head cleaner every time I played a video as the video tapes would dump crap on the heads. |

I have advd machine/player. :) We cant *find* the movie in either form though, I dont think they have the dvd for it at Blackbuster, but we will check. I bought the requiem for a dream dvd a few weeks ago. :D Today, I got Amelie!!!!!!!!!!!! Love that movie! :) The dvd is so cool. ^_^ |

Sorry about that! ;) We took it back to Blockbuster and told the guy there what happened. He said something in the tape was probably broken, and then spent the next five minutes manually winding it up. *crackcrackcrack* I hate the noise tapes make when you wind them by hand. But its not like I regularly do that. Anyway... I hope they have the dvd there... we forgot to check for that; I bought the Amelie dvd for thirteen bucks! :D |

I cant afford a DVD player as I spent too much on CDs and Videos at Xmas but I am being fussy as I want one with all the whistles and bells (recordable/takes VCRS, VCDs, etc etc_) I wound up with two copies of the Requiem for a Dream VCR as I did not trust the one from the video shop and thought I might as well have a back up (work related hazard - backups) I brought Amelie on VCR for Xmas and I absolutely loved it and also From Hell, with Johnny Depp based on Alan Moores Graphic Novel. I am thinking of getting One Night At McCools next, have you also seen Memento? |

i think this movie is overrated... i didnt like it very much, music was ok but the plot really pissed me off, but lets not talk about it, some havent seen it yet... normally im the kinda guy who gets into every plot, imagining more than is shown anyway enjoy, thats what its for ;) |

The movie is about a woman that was born very ugly because of a rare genetical flaw (Proteus syndrome), and people underestimate her, being prejudiced because of her horrifying look, and some jerk makes her perform in some filthy Victorian circus and then A. Hopkins as the doctor tries to give her a normal life and then well, it all comes down to her suicide, but it's a happy end nonetheless. *stares blankly, then giggles* |
