I hear you, I hate all that shit.

It seems like part of the genre though, and I mean, you
can't really title a song when you leave the emotions and
ideas of it to be determined by each individual listener.

I suspect they mostly title their tracks after patch names
and abbreviated names of mix versions. The titles on
Confield were likely a pisstake on their supposed penchant
for bizzare titles.

I see 3 main reasons for this:

1) BlatantEcho's right - they try not to narrow one's field
of perception, to allow him to think whatever shit dwells in
his mind.

2) They think it's cool.

3) It's really cool.

actually, most of their titles arent nonsense.. just really
obscure words and abbreviations.. i think a lot of the ones
that arent words are from computer programming..

'catachresis' actually means to use a word out of context
for stylistic purposes
i thought that was sort of funny

It's kind of annoying when someone other than Autechre does
it... but seriously, I LOVE their words and track titles.
Parhelic Triangle, Pen Expers, Lentic Catachresis, Gantz
Graf, Tri Repetae, Chiastic Slide... I just love their
words.

Drukqs is just annoying. Cornish or Welsh or whatever it is,
it's gibberish to me! Autechre's words are sleek and shiny
and I want to lick them.
