"Will You Miss Me" is the name of a track by The Notting
Hillbillies--I particularly like it.

I agree with fleetmouse about the dullness of Radiohead.

how could it have been me -- unless your name is the same as
your email address, which would make you a male, and I
managed to track it down somehow, it couldn't have been me!
And if that IS your real name on your email, then I ain't
carrying your books no more! :P

people who say radiohead is dull are either to tired to put
effort in taking a good listen to Kid A and Amnesiac..or
they just want to provoke and upset others on this mb who
appreciate the beautiful material which comes out of rh's
hands..and mouth (man, do you even know 'like spinning
plates', 'life in a glasshouse' 'how to dissappear
completely' 'pyramid song' ?)
i really doubt your hearing capabilities

..what the f*** is that i feel below my belly..

Is that a fact or are you just making it up? Since I agree
that Radiohead are boring, I would probably think it was the
latter.

offline Morton from out (Netherlands, The) on 2002-12-26 13:09 [#00491752]

i looked that up in the 'book of facts'
just searched on 'radiohead-disliker' and quoted the sucker

..the part between brackets was an opinion of the author it
said, but since i agreed i also quoted that

can't seem to find the name of the author anywhere.. must be
some smart dude, like God or something..

offline marlowe from Antarctica on 2002-12-26 13:13 [#00491756]

So it's not a fact then.

you seem to think that the 'book of facts' is some kind of
pulp magazine..

looks like the author is called 'ascorbic acid'..

i've got to go now..

maybe we should (if it's not been done before..dunno 'bout
that) start a 'radiohead-sucks-or-radiohead-rocks' poll

quite curious i am
about the opninion of people and such like species

well, fact only means "to make" so it's not like it would be
the truth or anything, even if it called itself a fact.

1. Knowledge or information based on real occurrences: "an
account based on fact; a blur of fact and fancy."

2. a) Something demonstrated to exist or known to have
existed: "Genetic engineering is now a fact. That Chaucer
was a real person is an undisputed fact."
b) A real occurrence; an event: "had to prove the facts of
the case."
c) Something believed to be true or real: "a document laced
with mistaken facts."

3. A thing that has been done, especially a crime: "an
accessory before the fact."

4. Law. The aspect of a case at law comprising events
determined by evidence: "The jury made a finding of fact."

= 'to make' ???

i was really encouraged by reading point 4, that
'dictionary.com' really knows how to make my day

I was speaking from the scholarly etymological standpoint ,
not from the useful, but not terribly in-depth website,
dictionary.com

let's stop argueing 'bout that radiohead thing
we'll never agree there i think

and i don't want myself to get some kind of
i-know-it-better-attitude or something

after all it's all about opinions
(*throws away the 'book of facts'*)

That was a good thing, throwing away the "book of
facts"...and I would hope you wouldn't develop a haughty
attitude over it, since you appear to conform to the "fact
is truth" camp of "thought", rather than the sollipsism I
prefer.

..well but the 'fact is truth' has been proven to be a fact,
not my opinion..

All [some look angry some tired]

All: "Morton just shut the fuck up"

Morton [notices the rather big crowd]

Morton: "..but guys, I was just giving my opinion here"

All [walk towards Morton in a threatening way]

All: "..whatever dude, just leave already, otherwise we'll
help you get out"

Morton [forces some of his braincells to think of something
smart]

Morton [doesn't manage to do so]

Morton [looks at his watch]

Morton: "Well, look at the time..time really does fly
whe.."

All [start running towards Morton]

Morton [runs like hell]

Morton: "What did I do?! what did I do?!"

All: "You shared your thoughts and gave your opinion
fruitcake!" [marlowes voice is heard:] "..and you know
that's not commonly accepted here!"

Morton [manages to escape and runs straight to his bed]

Morton [is safe from harm]

Morton: "Goodnight li'll teddybear, quite some adventure
that was don't you think?"

Morton [sleeps within 3,5 minutes]

Teddybear [also]
