sorry, that is photek, not photeck....

it's photek, and (i beleive it's one guy) he's pretty good.
his most recent effort "solaris" sounds like he's dying for
a popular dance club hit at times, but his earlier efforts
are quite good. mondus operandi or however you spell it is
pretty cool............................................

What, no-one likes House Music? Oh my lord,...that "Mine To
Give" track on Solaris is really good. Reese basslines and
Robert Owens voice, ah, life doesn't get much better than
that..unless your on the verge of cumming :)

Buy "Hidden Agenda" ep or "T-reanon" ep--you'll be lucky to
get the second one now, I think it got deleted, but good
luck anyway, gorgeous drum and bass, with black dog
influences on T-raenon, apparently he's a big fan of their
stuff,,wise man

the only cd of his i have is solaris. i haven't yet heard
any of the older stuff, but i like this one a lot. some of
it is a little too "clubby" for my taste, but some of it's
really great. good sounds.

Form and Function, Hidden Camera are both top Dn'B !

Go buy.

Agreed, cept hidden camera is also a short EP!

Have fun

thorpe from aus on 2001-09-10 15:25 [#00030520]

hidden camera is the single from modus operandi, featuring
like 4 b-sides. form and function is a collection of old
singles and eps originally released only on vinyl, all put
together onto one cd. its all good, but IMHO modus operandi
is the best

"Ni Ten Ichi Ryo" is one of the greatest DnB tracks i have
ever heard.I read in an recent interwiew that he will return
to that sound with his alias Special Forces,in fact he wont
be doing any DnB at all under the name Photek.

My Rupert Top 5

1.Ni Ten Ichi Ryo
2.Something Else.....The Bleep Tune
3.Inta Warriors"inta"(Special Forces mix)
4.Mine To Give
5.Smoke Rings

sido, thanks...

can yous guys list some more tracks that are good? i am
looking for stuff on Aimster.

al>< from dublin on 2001-09-11 12:33 [#00030685]

the 'ni ten ichi ryu' video would be up there with 'c'mon my
selector' and 'come to daddy' for visual-matches-breaks
editing plus it features a lone samurai dispatching some
not-so stealthy assasins
in stark black and white...totally underplayed and a feast
for anyone who has ever liked it when a drum beat syncs with
a body movement. 'Solaris'...good but i wanted more MO from
this guy - so i made My Own
