People, he was in the clash, one of the most important UK
punk bands of the original punk wave.

Well, your loss, mate. They are a seminal, and I mean
seminal UK band . Their importance stretches far beyond punk
ghetto.

Um, I'm all for bad taste, anyhow, so, wasn't really trying
to sound preachy.

Anyway, nice to see ya ironlung, long time no see. Working
at night again, eh?

as it is VERY NICE to see you again Meho...yes, I am back
working nights and actually happy to be here online...I did
not have any internet connection for the LONGEST time, now I
get to hang here with all my buddies..( like you my friend )
and talk GOOD music.

Oh and I also LOVE tastelessness, but cmon, I LOVED the
Clash...
I guess I am just a little tired.
=)

I really like the title track of that album. I think I have
it on some punk compilation somewhere.

"haha, funny. Though, you shouldn't make jokes about
recently
deceased people. But, funny."

Yes, you should follow the gutter press' example and leave
it 2 weeks before you start with stuff like that ;)

Shit I can't believe he's dead. Clash were one of the
greatest bands ever. What is the world coming to when good
people die and evil cunts stay alive.

offline Meho Krljic from Beograd (Yugoslavia) on 2002-12-23 04:33 [#00488842]
Points: 6617 Status: Addict

Well, beig addicted to internet must have some bad sides
when it comes to withdrawal symptomes. But nice to have you
here, dude. Yeah, The Clash used to be something special.
Bac then when punk was not just another dogma.

Ceri: yeah London Calling is a timeless track. I was never
too much into The Clash, tho, I was more of a hardcore/
metal type, but London Calling is one in a million.

Hey Meho. Doing good? I like my punk mate. I was shocked
when watching Die Another Day that they had London Calling
on the soundtrack.

Holy shit, that was like some kind of omen!!! I haven't seen
it yet. I wanted to see it yesterday but my girlfriend
insisted we see "About a boy" instead, so we did. Useless
piece of petit-burgoise crap with badly drawn boy providing
music.........

Punk is not dead, but punks keep dying, eh? This year was
really bad for musicians, they just kep dying...

About a boy? Shit me that's an awful film. I feel sorry for
you mate. It's bizarre how may truly good musicians die and
the ones that aren't that good or inspirational just keep
going. Shame Strummer did'nt die another day (Not a bad joke
I'm serious)

Yeah, and it seems that Chris Rea or Phil Collins will live
forever.

About a boy is really atrocious. My girlfriend is getting
seriously middleaged in her tastes. These days I am actually
happy she listens to Korn............ Think for a minute, it
could be Elton John instead...

Joe Strummer is dead? :O... I figured he would be alive for
another few years--I've seen him in a few films as well as
being the singer in The Clash. Well that's just a damn
shame.

Ah bugger. So long, Joe, you'll be missed.

Good solo stuff too.

And for god's sake, the man still had a social conscience in
his middle age. Still fighting the good fight. That's pretty
rare.

All the late 70s, early 80s people are dying now--well OK,
Ian Dury and Joe Strummer--but STILL! It's not right! Next
to go Terry Hall? I hope not.
