My dad acts like hes whaling on a guitar when I play Come To Daddy. My brother is a little whigga gansta biotch, and my mom bakes cookies. But my cat sits with me when I play Kesson Daslef on the piano.

My Mum appreciates the melodic side of IDM. My Dad doesn't like it at all much...he's into the usual pop/rock scene.
My cousins listen to the same sort of stuff as me, so that's always fun to show them Cock/Ver10 by Aphex - they think its really schitzo.
My cat loves "Vit" by FSOL on the Lifeforms cd. She always sits right up against the speaker whenever I play it -- I think she likes the high pitches or something.

my father - doesnt even try to know what it is
my mother - music is not her business
my sister - just the girly aphex (but she is not really interested, she just can stand it)
my brother (javier) - shows some interest, though his progression is veeeeeery slow
my younger brother - he doesnt care much, but sometimes he says he liked some certain track
my girlfriend (whith whom I live) . she likes it if I explain to her, she likes it once she sees my pasion towards it

My mom likes new age crap like Yanni and downtempo classical and some rock like the Guess Who. My dad lieks pretty much teh same, except he's also into Jimmy Hendrix the Doors Led Zepillin and what not, who all rule. my older sis thinks any music that doesn't have guitar in it isn't music at all and that it sucks ass (therefore she pretty much hates all the electronica I listen to). my sis one yaer younger then me is in to the whole punk scene, but she's tolerates and even doesn't mind any of my music, IDM included. My littlest sister hasnt' even gotten into music yet. However my parents think that IDM isn't even music....most of it, anyway. They don't mind the downtempo stuff like BoC of course.

My mum and dad don't like it (or indeed any music from the last 20 years), though my sister likes *some* tracks (mainly those which are more mainstream). I don't really see my brother enough to ask, though i'm pretty sure he won't like it.

i left a cd of mine in the stereo the other day and my mom put one of hers, mozart i think, without taking notice just on mine (technically sophisticated as she is), so that both where in the stereo but the lower one (mine) was played.
she came up 'oh my god i broke the stereo, theres only noise'.
'twas Envane, so i guess, no she's not that much into idm

Everyone else is trying to kill me and sometimes ask what's the fucking noise - did you fuck up your sound ystem???
