I bought this 3 cd set a long time ago, and recently J-Hok
brought it up. I wasn't into it at first, but now i am.
There's this awesome track called Cindy Electronium by
Raymond Scott thats worth a download if you can find it.
Anyone else have/heard this?

yeah Raymond Scott is the shits man!

you should get "Manhattan Research Inc." - a 2 cd set +
booklet with electronic music by Raymond Scott. its out on
Basta (a Dutch label, yay!) and IT OWNS ALL OF YOU (and
me)!!

also check out Scotts earlier instrumental work (in the '30s
to early '50s he made really funny jazzy stuff.. didn't
start making the electronic stuff till the late fifties..)

heres a pic of Raymond in his lab..

I checked it out, except for a few tracks I found it largely
unlistenable.

He also has some records called "soothing sounds for babies"
- 6-12 months, 1-2 years and 2-3 years. Or something like
that....

Very good!

soul coughing sampled "the penguin" for "disseminated".. one
of their more blatant samples. they also sampled tori amos
on a couple songs and challenged her to find the samples,
and if she could she could sue them for all they're worth.
hehe :)

i don't much care for manufactured drum loops if that's what
you mean... "piss-takes and mistakes" really was a piss-take
(with mistakes), not really something i'm all about.
