I was clicking randomly or something, and suddenly my
toolbar disapeared and reappeared on the right of my screen
like so. How do I get it back? Fucking stupid.

click and hold the line that seperates it from your main
window, and simply drag down

not stupid, that fuckin' scared my half to death the first
time i did it >_< i had no idea what i did or how to fix
it.

guess it's gotta happen to everyone :D

offline BlatantEcho from All over (United States) on 2002-12-18 21:35 [#00485373]

that was kinda wrong.

just grab the middle grey area below your "Winamp" icon in
the start menu.

Click and hold, then drag down to the bottom of your screen
and let go. You will see an outline of the start menu as
you move it.

Whew! Thank God! That happens all the time and I always
trick someone into fixing it for me, I never could. I think
I had to right click something too, cuz it took yet MORE
random clicking to get it back to the way it was.

Drag that baby....depending how you use your comp it can
make a lot of sense to choose something diff than the
standard botton bar....

& that's the way I normally have my toolbar (well, on the
left of screen anyway)...

I like it cause it gives you more screen length; makes long
web pages a lot nicer to deal with....

but yeah, HEHE...the amount of calls I get at work saying
"HELP!!!I'VE BROKEN MY COMPUTER" about this feature of
Windows....Worst case I've seen is where they'd resized to
fill half the screen...

this happens to me every so often. it takes me like ten
minutes to figure it out, and i always forget how to fix it
by the time it happens again.

i've done strange things with my tool bar
before......ehehhe.

i have a stoopid question.

scenario.....

i have an online picture, that will not let me right click
and save as my backdrop. what do you have to do, or what can
you do, to make it possible to right click and save it as
your desktop?

is this problem solvable without too much deep computer
knowledge?

thanks

=0)

Sounds like it might be a Flash picture or a sneaky
webdesigner has disabled Right-Click...

Anyway...Do a google for some screen capture software; dunno
what machine you are on so can't make any recommendation...

but armed with that it'll let you grab anything that's on
your screen (either the whole screen or a selected
rectangle) & then save the resulting pic to your wallpaper
or disc...

hope this helps....

save the page on your hdd (file>save as)
then go tho the "_files" folder and you'll find your picture
there most likely

cool....thats something i didn't think of....screen capture.
i have hyper snap.....that might work.

i tried sending it to myself as an email.....but it still
didn't work.

skyfarmer .... i did save it, and i found the picture. the
problem is not being able to right click and getting the
option to save as background.

it's just SOME pictures, but now that jand mentions
that.....thats prolly eggactly what it is. thehehhe

thanks so much

*UGS*

Yes, I have it vertically down the left hand side of the
screen. On auto hide too.

Very funny when mates try to use my PC :)

Wasn't there some flavour of Linux that had it on the left
by default?

probably yes. there are so huge numbers of linuxes. anyway
it is not a bar (or i have never seen a linux with a single
bar but it probably exists). mine has stuff on the lower
left and upper right corner.

anyway i'm not really a linux expert, i just stick to the
usability.

You shouldn't do that. It makes your computer sad.

i think you can right click on the taskbar and select "lock
the taskbar" so you cant move it around by accident anymore
