I can really think of any off hand, is Santa Claus Is Coming
to Town an actual carol? Can't remember carol-ers coming to
my door with a rendition..but the worst would be Silent
Night.

Yes, Silent Night is a good one the solo of verse 2 alway
sounds gash. My church has a habit of picking a girl/boy
whose voice can't quite reach the high note. Their voice
cracks and they burst into tears... really sets the mood
nicely. As does the descant (not to mention being incredibly
hard to sing- try singing a well known song to a different
tune whilst everyone around you sings it normally...) in all
but the best choirs.

Good King Wencelaslas rules though. You get to sing "sod" in
church without getting in trouble...
