i keep getting the runaround from record stores here

"we had some, but we sold out"
"its not out yet"
"its out tommorrow"
(the next day)"its out tommorrow"

what the fucking fuck.

I read somewhere online that it came out yesterday... but
even this source didnt seem dependable.

I went to the official movie site, and nothing.

Any one know when this is freaking comin out?

Amazon have it..

by Cliff Martinez, eh..?

he's a pretty good composer.. I have the OST he did for
Soderbergh's "The Limey".. very good..

I saw the movie, and i was blown away by the music.

Nice and ambient... these little synthesized bells, and then
like, this 3 note bassline, just kind of creeps up at the
really emotional scenes

top stuff.

thanks for the link. Ive never order cds online before...
how longs it take to ship? (ill be moving out of my dorm in
a week and 2 days...)

well.. I have ordered quite a few times from Amazon.com (the
American one, I mean) and I live in Europe, and it takes
about 2 weeks.. seeing as this ships within 2 days I think
it would be within the week in the US, I guess... um, that
said, I don't know how your mailsystem works though..

thanks for the info.

Cliff also did the score for traffic.

I saw traffic when It came out... but I didnt remember what
the score was like, so I checked some tracks out on amazon
just now.

Very nice. Very nice indeed. You can definatly tell its the
same composer as Solaris.

mm... I'll have a listen to the Solaris bits on Amazon..

you should check "the Limey" too.. very moody, and kind of
minimal.. all keyboard..

there are no sound clips for Solaris on Amazon yet... :(

and the Limey wasnt on the list of other scores done by
Cliff.

Ill do a search for it though, and see what I can find.

Mickey: i personally really REALLY loved the movie. Its not
for everyone. Its slow and heady... but I like that.

The score really is perfect in it. I recomend it

the papers compare it to 2001 a space odyssey... any
significance to that?
maybe with the soundtrack

awesome movie. slow and hypnotic but moving.
i guess the 2001 comparisons are sort of misplaced, as that
movie examined space and this examines the mental field.
the score was amazing, really nice ambient music, nothing
like the grand 2001 classical music.

a very good sci-fi movie soundtrack is the one to 2001: a
space odyssey. bliss!
