After watching the live D.C. show last night on 2 dollar bill...I am 150% convinced that these guys put on one of the best live shows in the past 10 years. I thought I had figured thhis fact out 2 years ago at the AREA 1 fest, with a dosed out head...heh heh...But after watching that last night on M2, I am gonna do my best to see them the NEXT time they come to town. Anyone else catch them live this year? Ever?...Was your life changed? Cheers!!! BOC forever.... Luv all yall=) |

hehehe hummmm.........PURRHAPS i saw them LIVE at the SMOKING GROOVES tour this year with OUTKAST.......and YES they RAWK live, and i wanna see a FULL show dammit!! my BF has seen them like 3 times this year i think.......he lives in D.C.!!! grrrrrr anyhow did you get the new CD.....it's fantastic IMO, i'm digging on it RIGHT now....=0) gotta love ?uestlove and Blackthought!!! |

Yeah I am also JUST STARTING to listen more and more to the NEW album.... It is slowly growing on me in a good way. Yeah catching them play a good hour/ hour and 1/2 set is the way to go, but ANYTHING live by those guys is worth gatecrashing to see...=) Good to hear from ya gurl=) |

I can't say I AM a Common fan, or a REALLY BIG Rap/Hip-Hop fan for that matter...I am picky enough about my music, let alone only like a VERY few artists from this genre.... Yeah I was hoping to see Tits' face wandering around this room.... |

the first two on the Roots CD or Common's new one? ehhehe.......i'm sure he'll be around soon, and he'll have quite a bit to say about all this since he's seen Da Roots a few times. Was the show you watched at the 930 club in D.C.? if so i've seen 2 shows there, missed a sonic youth show this summer. i hope to see more in the up coming months tho. that place is DA BOMB! |

The Roots put on a fine show indeed, all the different live instrumentation they use gives it a flavor not often seen in live hip-hop Outkast was better though :p |

yea no shit i saw 'em twice this year, two of the best concerts i've ever seen. lie to these people and say they're experimental white electronica artists and they'll go; when they realize they've been scammed, it won't matter cos they'll be having such a great time they'll have nothing but overflowing gratitude for the recommendation and respect for the roots. |

I was listening to the new album on my discman the other day while donating plasma, and one of the guys asked what I was listening to. I told him The Roots, and he was like, 'oh, so your into punk then?" wtf? |

that is weird. i guess a lot of punks like them (non-commercial hip-hop and idm seems to be popular w/ punks), plus "!!!" on the new cd is a punk interlude. |

i think it's about 25 seconds, but you get the point. it is a segue track for sure, but if you read the liner notes there's a good explanation for why they did it besides the transition need. |
