inspired by the "merzbox" (50 disc set of unreleased merzbow shiznit). would you buy a richard d. james (any psuedonym) boxed set (of your favorite "era", let's say) of unreleased tracks if were the length of... a) 4 cd's? b) 10 cd's? c) 20 cd's? d) 50 cd's? i think i'd shell out the cash for the 50 but maybe i just have "foolish" tattooed on my forehead. |

20 disc previously unreleased tracks would BE QUITE GRAND... ----------------- i'd be willing to spend $1k USD on a 50 disc COMPLETE recordings box set of Aphex Twin... that would be the greatest thing ever... but i'd only buy it after he's dead.... so there would have to be EVERYTHING he made... |

i wouldn't want to spend any money on a boxed set of music that's already been released (however rare) but unreleased music COULD be a great value (i'm sure a good % of it is awful though). keep in mind that the rdj album was whittled down from a selection of 150 songs; saw 85-92 from 11-13 90-min cassette tapes, etc. |

i've been thinking about it, and i'd want everything i could get from all the different eras... especially more bradley strider, and stuff like the q-chastic album and the caustic window album would be nice... |

i´d get it all especially the saw stuff, rdj-album is my favourite, didnt know it was selected from that much material such as saw, i´d do anything to get it before the day i leave this planet, but i have time... ):D= |
