I'd like to hear some music done with csound - not just
instrument samples or ten second loops, but actual songs
that prove its utility.

Just found a link to some at mp3.com

Point me to something made with csound that will make my jaw
drop, something that would have been near impossible to
achieve with any other tool

hmmm

i dont know what kinda style would make your jaw drop...

alot of csound music is very sparce, and ambient... nothing
that makes you go "wow!" on first listen...

and thats all I have... sooo... i dunno.

wait one sec... lemme check something...

I have been playing around with csound a little bit, but
havent really sat down and trying to do anything serious
with it

Plus I am so much more familiar with supercollider and
Max/Msp that I dont want to learn another app right now.

Is the csound book worth buying zeus?

hard, i need a book to help me!

gubb: im yet to have written with it. Im still on the first
chapter... trying to memorize the core codes for the program
file.

uhg

i belive you can read the first chapter for free at
csounds.com
