yeah well Blatant, I can say the same thing for you - you did not react to what I said in the first place, did you? anyway, I meant it more like a joke, didn't mean to grieve you.. although I do think you're thinking too much about it - making it into a much bigger deal than it is. it does sound like you're scared of something. "I love my life, I only have so many years here, obivously it isn't beneficial lying to myself by acting like I'm someone I'm not." that depends completely on yourself. its reall bollocks to think the alcohol does that. when I drink, I never lose control. and there ARE people who do lose contol, and thats because they WANT to and that makes it part of their personality. there are people who can't handle alcohol - thats shit, and kind of sad. but not all drinkers are like that - thats just bullshit. |

my friend is afraid of being chemically altered. i don't fully understand it. he's fine with a few beers but that's about it. i guess he might be afraid of loosing control, maybe he thinks he'll become something other than himself while high. i think that's impossible; you're always yourself, it's just that different drugs amplify different aspects of yourself that are already there. people draw their own unique lines. an aquaintance of mine will do weed and E, but not psychedelics, he "won't go THAT far", meanwhile weed is considered by some a mild psychedelic. |

i just don't understand the concept of spending time not being who you are. The idea of alcohol is to limit your inhibitions and be different than the person you normally are. I'm not scared, I'm just comfortable in my skin. |

that isn't the concept of drinking. most people don't see drinking as a concept. they do it because they like the taste, enjoy the relaxation it can give. the idea of alcohol (as I see it) is to relax you, maybe take some inhibitions away that stop you from relaxing.. that doesn't mean you do a dr.Jekyll & mr.Hyde. and as I said, when I drink, I do so because I want to, so that makes it part of the person I normally am. |

Oh wel do what you want it's not my job to force you to have a good time! I didn't drink this weekend and it was OK but I didn't go as madass as I do when I'm drunk. I still jumped off stage and danced and shit during my set though. |
