to set the record straight about pot:
1 joint=4 cigarrettes
It seems bad but think about it. Most smokers smoke a pack a
day. In order to do as much damage as that, you'd have to
smoke 5 joints/day. And if you're at that point, you've got
more problems than just what you're doing to your lungs.

it might be 1 joint=5, in that case it would be 4 joints.
that still alot.

i personally smoke maybe once a month, usually more in the
summer though

poll: 1

and no I wouldn't die for smoking, I'd quit, I can easily
quit something when there's a lot of pressure on me.

I'm lucky that a pack of 20 lucky strike cigarettes cost
3,20 euros, compared to the us and the uk it's very cheap

I want to give up and apparently this is the first step.
However my life is perilous at the moment and I'm afraid
without them I'd go loopy or something (closes eyes waits
for barrage) Last week it was ... and the week before
that....

Start smoking rolled up cigarettes, you have to roll one
everytime, so it's not easily accesible like ciggies, so you
learn to cut down, it helped me to quit, and now i can even
enjoy the odd vanilla rolly without havin to feel bad, cause
it actually tastes good.

As for dagga, ingest it

Ta
I've thought about this, but I thought that because rolling
tobacco is so much stronger that I would end up more
addicted than I already am.
I think I will try the patches.

everytime you would think about quiting it will seem as if
it's not the right time, life's full of too much pressure,
too much stress, whatever. you just have to do it. i did
during a pretty horrible period of my life. i came out
feeling pretty strong. you should just do it, buckle down
and ride the agony till it washes away and leaves you
feeling refreshed.

i've smoked (cigarettes) off and on for the last 4-5 years,
and i know that its apparrently a mistaken cliche to say
that you could give up at any time, but i could, and i have.
I've stopped smoking for months on end and and then one day
i'll be like "shit i fancy a cigarette"

as for weed, thats an entirely different thing.

it's interesting that pot is a depressant......have you ever
thought it might be contributing to your sadness?

i know, that. pot does probably make me sad somehow, but it
does so much good for me too. i get so much odd behaviour
and mood swings i have to have something to cool me off

and when i didn't smoke at all i drunk. and that makes me so
much worse.

i have been prescribed to oxazepam, to keep me more stable,
but that makes me a total zombie and i cry even more.

ahhhh

well i'm not familiar with drugs, i've never taken them.
partly because i am a control freak and i don't want to hand
control of my mind to anything or anyone else.

i wish you well

thanks

i see your point about the control. i am unfortunately a
total oppose to that.
