http://helios.gsfc.nasa.gov/qa_gp.html#massprop
"Under General Relativity, you don't need to have mass to be
affected by gravity"

Does this mean that light is affected by gravity ?

Am I talking a load of bull?

i think that is why black holes are black. their gravity is
so strong that not even light can escape its force.

well... black holes can bend light... black holes have a
MASSIVE/UNGODLY gravitational pull... which means that light
can be bent... i don't know if the earth actually bends
light, but i do know light is diffused or however you say
it...

am i not making any sense?

haha!

i would think that the earth bends light, but to an
unnoticable degree. gravity is never zero.

Jeezo guys you've really helped me out of that little

i think that everything affects everything with the four
physical forces, no matter what the distance. i could be
wrong, but i think that's how it works. so, to some small
degree, your every movement, every vibration of your
molecules, every thought and emotion that goes through you,
all affect everything else in the universe to a small
degree... which over a given amount of time becomes a larger
affect (chaos).

just surface understanding, enough to suit me. i know
little of the math involved in physics and i don't care to
learn much of it.

I mean what do you do you're a musician I would guess you
might like the site I found but then again It's probably a
bit begginerish for you.

what do i do? i make a little music--will be doing more in
the summer--i go to college, hike and canoe in the summer, i
see live music performances regularly... but i guess a spend
a lot of time doing odd things, like going into trance and
exploring that experience, often through dance... you know,
get primal and tap into instinct, intuition, the inherent
wisdom of the body. i can't help but spend a lot of time
reflecting on these experiences and i've found physics to be
quite helpful in understanding things, but i've only studied
the physics that applies directly to my personal questions
and so there are plenty of areas that i'm totally in the
dark on, so that site will probably have plenty of
informatation that's new to me. think i'll look at that
site tomorrow. right now i'm off to sleep. g'night.
