this is just to be more convenient for those playing the
game right now to update their status or whatever youd like
to call it. im about 20% into it and have 55 missiles,
varia suit, gravity boots and morph ball and currently i am
searching for any half pipes to use that I havent already.
after that its back to phendrana(sp) drifts to explore.

80% into it, and just beat the game, but I'm not finished
yet...

How about Fusion?

I just downloaded the Gameboy Metroid 2, I'm on a Metroid
streak and no essays or anything for months, I'm going to
play games till my eyes melt.

Metroid 2 was my favorite until I played Prime. I've
actually never played Super Metroid.. Hoping it comes out
for the GBA as it won't work on any of the emulators I've
tried.
I'm not sure how far I am through Prime, the last item I got
was the gravity suit and I'm to the space pirate mining
facility right now. There are no save points(that I've
found anyway) and it's hard as hell - I get my ass whomped
and have to start all the way back at the wrecking ball
thing.
I just beat the boss that clears the vines out of the engine
room in Fusion. Are those friendly creatures from the SNES
version?

I got pissed off at Mario Sunshine and haven't played it for
2 months. I'm stuck on that part where you're on the roller
coaster and you have to pop the pink balloons with water
rockets.

Super Metroid is one of those elite games that are always
mentioned on everyone's top 10 ever lists, so you'd best get
off your tight young ass and play it! Arguably the best game
ever made, in my top 10 for sure. It's creepier than Prime,
and harder, with a better soundtrack.

And I know what you mean about the Phazon Mines... fighting
all those pirates in a row, tough shit! I had 12 energy left
by the time I got to the save point after you fight this
floating gun, most intense video gaming I've ever had. I
really didn't want to die and have to do it over...

[gloating]Everyone I've talked to that's played this died on
the way to the save point at least once, but I didn't.
Shazam![/gloating]

super metroid is awesome, i got it about 3 years ago used
for $5 and its probably my favorite snes game, Ive had
metroid1 on nes for a while but its kind of hard to play
with the password system so when I beat fusion it should be
much better. is metroid 2 worth buying for game boy? i
almost wish theyd remake metroid 1,2 and 3 on gba with
sharper graphics etc.

cabbog, i did the same thing as you, i actually didnt get
stuck but after I got star fox and metroid and animal
crossing ive been not playing mario and eternal darkness
both of which are excellent but its just too many games
right now. I have about 50 shines in mario, are you talking
about the level where you have to shoot rockets while those
bombs are chasing you on the track? that took me a while

I love Metroid 2. The soundtrack is probably the best I've
heard - Most of it being just ambience i.e. drips and
gurgles. Frightening. My little brother used to throw the
gameboy against the wall and start crying whenever he got to
a metroid..
Is the floating gun that invisible thing that attacks you by
that unstable machinery? How do you hurt it? That's where
I died last time.
Yes, that's the part in Sunshine I'm stuck on. It wouldn't
be so bad except that every time you die Mario gets spit out
all the way back at Delphino village.. Aggrivating. This
game doesn't hold a candle to the Nintendo64 incarnation.

Why isn't Crocomire posting anything in this thread? What's
the significance of those creatures that take lodging in
your ship halfway through Fusion? Are they from Super
Metroid? Why am I such a dork?

i like mario sunshine just as much as mario 64, of course
its not as revolutionary but I bet the next mario will
vastly change (like change from snes\64)but I could be
wrong, might be theyre next system will change the direction
again.
