Iknow there are lots of music makers here (most of the
stuff I heard is pretty good), but are they dj's here ?
what do you like to mix ?

i'm a dj. if my show weren't WEEKLY and i didn't have so
much else to do every week i'd be putting together intricate
music mashes, but as it is now it's just a really creative
and usually (but not always) smooth flow of many genres of
music. *cough*

yep, respect for your playlists, very eclectic (playing ae
after deftones ;) and very good artists.

A friend of mine is doing the same type of genres-mixing in
his 'random selecta' sessions.

Are you resident somewhere?

tits is a smooth DJ. I do some too, but have only done 1 DJ

J-HOK: did you listen last night? you should DJ more,
although i respect electronic artists who put on a real live
show instead of just playing records.

neurone: yea, the Ae -> Deftones bit flowed well.. sometimes
that stuff fails though, eg: the Black Sabbath -> Common ->
Mogwai blunder i made last night (part of that was i didn't
have time when i got there to look up which track the common
song was, the rest is that i was just too dumb to realize
the common song would've been perfect before or after BS ->
Mog)

'water for chocolate' or something ?

I liked the Deltron album too, and Spectre "the end"
(I'm not a hip-hop specialist though, I missed lots of
stuff probably)

i don't have any recent pics yet, i need to scan some. you
remind me of an italian actor, i can't think of the name
though. actually you kind of remind me of jean claude van
damme too.

I DJ once a month drum n bass to a load of fukked up geezers
and geezettes... its a larf and a half. But I do take a lot
of time over my choice of tunes. I'm very picky coz the
quality of d&b can be quite variable.

I also do the occasional house party where I play NO drum n
bass, mainly old skool hip hop, ska, funk classix like JBs
and Headhunters & some old acid house tunes.

Sounds like a good mix there !

The dj's who varies styles the most are the ones who are
most fun listening/dancing to.
