Public Works employee for Sarasota County in Florida, has been awarded $100,000 from the county after a commission investigated allegations that Fiore was mistreated by his co-workers. Fiore also gets a $1.38 raise. Fiore's mother had complained to the county that his co-workers mistreated him. It is alleged that they called him "retard," "idiot," and "dummy" and his supervisors overlooked the name-calling. His crew is said to have made him work outside while they sat in a truck with A/C. They also allegedly made him sit in the truck while they ate at a restaurant. Consequently, 2 workers left, 2 workers were fired and one was suspended for 12 days |
