:-(

Just received an E-mail from a very close friend of mine
(even though i only know her over the internet), who wrote
me that her mother died in an accident... just last tuesday
:-(

I just don't know what to say. I felt like my heart just got
cold when i read it. I've never met this friend, don't even
know anything about her mother... but yet i can imagine how
she must feel right now (no... i probably cannot imagine...
but still)... your mother dying... possibly the person you
are closest related to in your whole life... it's just so
sad :-/

I feel so bad for her. Think i'll start writing on a long
letter... i can do nothing for her except to let her know
i'm thinking of her and her family.

are there for her, thats it...
and then it depends on how she can handle this for herself
or u might give an help then, but wait and see...

Not a lot you can do, is there? I find talking about stuff
like this far more difficult on email/chat than in real
life. Just say what you can, try to be supportive.

That's very upsetting. All you can do is be there for her
if she needs to talk. I'm sure she'll be glad you're there
to listen.

thanks everybody :-) this board is indeed a wonderful
place!

I tried to put all my feelings in a long mail last night...
i hope that she might find some comfort in it :-/ And
indeed, there is not a lot more that i can do. Today i'm
sending her a proper card (real mail)... and after that all
i can do is think about her... and wait until she wants to
talk to me about it. But i imagine for the following days
she will just want to be with her closest family.

Maybe i will light a candle for her mom tonight. I'm not
actually catholic but whatever... it feels like a nice thing
to do.

Sorry to hear that you had to experience the same thing
glass_eater. (btw hello to you aswell!) It's awful when
death enters your life in any way... even if it's through a
distant friend.

Thanks for all your kind words, everyone that replied :-)
