Yeah, DJ Speedranch does the 'audio mulch' vocals on this
selftitled album.

Phantomsmasher is loud, that's for sure. :)

There's drums, really nasty distorted bass and twangy
guitar. When I first listened to it, it sounded like a
really mad indie band or something.

Then I realized the drums were going super fast and being
tweaked all to hell. Time stretched and comb filtered blah
blah -- it's just crazy. There's all kinds of weird digital
trickery, especially with the drums. The bass sound is
probably the nastiest I've ever heard from an electric
bass.

The 'audio mulch' vocals (that's what they're called in the
booklet) are just these weird squeals, screams and moans,
with loads of digital manipulation. It's no wonder this
stuff is on Ipecac.
