best town for living?

Without a doubt, Barry. Jonesy and Jedi Chris will confirm
this.

What's so special about it?

Arcades

Derelict buildings

Wasteground

Corn and Oil Silos

High unemployment

Disgruntled ex-dockers

Rampant crime

Dow Corning Chemical Plant that frequently has accidents
menaing everyone within 2 miles has to stay indoors and
close their windows

Corrupt Councillors (moreso than usual)

That last statement isn't libellous- check "Rotten
Bouroughs" in Private Eye for a weekly update of the
situation :)

I have a good mind to put you over my knee with dirty words
like that!! (stay where you are Meho)

I have been back in England for a while, I hate it. The
weather needs to be seen/experienced to be believed. How can
it be so bad? Whenever you get a satelite image of the place
all the low pressure seems to gravitate towards us??? Is
this some kind of sick joke?

Its recompense for having an evil colonial empire I think.

he he!!

I wouldn't mind living in Spain or France for a while...
Good laid back lifestyle, good food, good booze etc. The UK
is home though... I like the cynical sense of humour and
errr.... the music scene?

If money wasn't an option NYC...

If location wasn't an option LA...

I actually heard Canada is really nice, maybe Quebec.

I want to live by a beach

No Nacmat, we don't mean any offence. I know a couple of
Spanish programmers on my course and they're very hard
working. We're just saying the way of life in France and
Spain (Especially in Rural areas) isn't so hectic- the
people are generally not as impatient here and as a result
tend not to rush.

I imagine in office jobs in the large cities it's pretty
much as stressful as it is here...

Well, Spain is different (they say)!

I live in Spain (they say) and the island I live in is
called "The Calm Island".

Take it easy men!

its ok with me... but I think thats not how it is now...
maybe we had that imge 50 years ago... but now... well maybe
cos of the weather and so... but everything goes really fast
here in the city... work work and work.

and in the rural areas I dont think its very different from
rural areas in other countries

anyway I assure you its ok with me, I wasnt mad at all

Not really... in fact Barcelona sounds like a really cool
place, lots of skate spots and cool bars etc, lots of
moroccan hash he he!! Its just when ive been there the
atmosphere SEEMS more relaxed and the pace a tad slower. IMO
thats a good thing... but its just first impressions.

Madrid and Barcelona are quite fast towns. The place I live
is not that fast. And rural areas here, in Mallorca, r so
slow they don't move.

Like a beautifull place out in the country...

I stayed in Estepona for 3 weeks with friends. We smoked a
lot of hash, drank nice wine, ate nice food. Superb! AND we
went to a rave and saw the Prodigy live which was something
else. Havent been to Barc (yet) but i'm sure its pretty
hectic.

unabomber is John Kacinsky (bad spell 4 sure), and he is a

My aunty and uncle were in Barcelona recently and there were
two guys on motorbikes near them. One signaled that they
had a puncture so they pulled over. Then the guys pretened
to help but robbed them. What they had done was knife their
tyre when the traffic stopped. Apparently its a new trick.

They told the police who said it couldn't have been
Spaniards, must've been Moroccans hehe.

Yeah, I was in Ramblas when I had just arrived and saw some
bloke try and take this woman's handbag in midday. She
wasn't having any of it though; she pulled it back and was
like "fuck off!"

shirt, a camera around my neck, a bum-bag, a baseball cap
and carried a map. I know what the fuck.

Boston: Beacon Hill (a nice part of town)

Newburyport: A medium-sized town in Northeast massachusetts,
near the ocean. it's very cozy.
