yea it's always this time of "day" (for me it's 10 PM till midnight) godspeed is like, hmm.. well, on a very basic level it combines some elements of classical with elements of rock. there's no synthesizer or drum machine and only occasional samples of people speaking or static. it's instrumental and the tracks are usually very long and contain multiple sections within that can be between 1-15 minutes long in themselves. most of their music is in epic style where it slowly builds up to something and then comes back down. anyway, that's just an objective view. subjectively most people think they're amazing and really emotionally powerful. they're one of my favorite bands. |

yea no shit. 1) i didn't play dr. dre 2) garbage was by request 3) that description is suited for the students of my college cos to them the music IS little known. very few people ever tell me they knew any of the stuff i was playing. quit nitpicking. if i wanted to be MTV-ish and still have a great show, i could. if i wanted to be blatantly obscure and still have a great show, i could. i appreciate the balance between. |
