Moby - Everything Is Wrong made it!
These people clearly have no idea what the hell they're talking about. My list would be totally different. What about:
Autechre - Tri Repetae, LP5 or Amber Squarepusher - Feed Me Weird Things or Big Loada Aphex - RDJ or ICBYD Biosphere - Substrata
Those are all classics IMHO - but leaving Autechre out is unforgivable. (including them down at the bottom grouped in with a bunch of other cunts is nuts)
I hate you Slant Magazine.

of course they didnt include a lot of my personal favorites, but still, i think it's one of the best lists ive seen. i suppose that magazine is some kind of 'spin' or something?

a "non-unrealistic" man would say what can possibly satisfy the members of this mb? aphex was there! and it doesnt stop here, boards of canada too!! and then there's black dog. and they even mention autechre, uziq, squarepusher as honorable mentions.
the list cant all be warp related records. people would complain even more if they didnt put aphex et al. on the list. i was surprised to see he made #3!
my 2 cents!

i'm talking about my opinion, which stands. a list of the top 25 "electronic" albums that does not include squarepusher or autechre is an invalid list.

i don't think its that type of list
its a 'i'm old and i remember the nineties as if they were yesterday' kinda list
and its more based on popular artists or sales rather than having lesser known more 'specialist' sounding artists like squarepusher & autechre

also, i'll take it for what the name presents it to be, a list of 25 electronic albums, and i don't consider a good deal of whats on that list to belong over certain artists.
and i don't really see how endtroducing qualifies as electronic. i always thought of it as cinematic hip hop.

i didn't assume, i was genuinely asking
no-one's gonna agree with any list apart from their own. i prefer the private press anyway.
i was chuffed that the klf made it :)
i think the list was maybe put together for someone who isn't that familiar with the genre and was looking for something to buy / listen to in order to hear something new perhaps
listening to squarepusher or autechre would probably put newcomers off for life!

How isn't 'Entroducing' electronic?? It was electronically produced, not too mention that while their was much Hip-Hop influence, Shadow also did let loose on some drum programming.

Right right, I should of rephrased that, I meant as in using drum machines/software/ yata yata.
And how is it a crap list just because AE isn't on their? I feel that the list was pretty good. It was nice to see Massive Attack and Tricky's albums ranked high, heck they were awesome.
Not too mention my favorite Warp album made the list Black Dog Productions. yes, it's a shame AE didn't make the list, but I was quite happy with what they picked.
