yep cipater is strong. i agree about pule. another that
sticks out in my mind is nuane because of that repeating
sound, to me it's a very visual track.

tewe is among my top 5 ae tracks. The melody is so... so...
unique. I cannot find any other word.

I can't listen to Tri Rep anymore, compared to Chiastic
Slide and all of the subsequent material, I find it lacking.
As of right now, Chiastic is my favorite Autechre even
though it took me the longest to get into.

....so its underrated how? i mean, if you like it, its
obviously not underrated to you. you rate it quite high,
which is what matters overall.

depends on the individual

ANYWAY, chiastic slide is quite good indeed. not my
favorite, but definitely not my least favorite.

Is chaistic slide teh one with laughing quarter?
I love that song by the way...

My fav AE record by the way is Conefield...

I don`t know why I find easier to get into the new AE stuff
than in the earlier.
I immediately like Gantz graf, but it took me much more for
tri repetae...

Other point...I strangely seem to apreciate alot tri-repetae
when going to bed. I find that music extremely intense in
that period in which I'm asleep and my mind is void but yet
I can still hear the music.
When I'm like this the music seems to come in alternating
waves like the melody in pen expers.
Really a good effect....

i agree with you on yet another thing here Iroel, i find it
easier to like confield than say their older releases, i do
like all autechre ive heard though. i have and love tri rep,
peel session2, ep7, chiastic slide, gantz graf

lp5 is my fav

though chiastic slide has its very good moments (cipater,
cichli, nuane)

and i like confield almost as much as lp5, especially
parhelic triangle.. does anyone else see the beat in this
track as 'circular' or 'revolving'?

chiastic slide is their true groundbraking album imo. the
album starts with the perfect opener, cipater!

I'm afraid yr thinking of Envane.. I'll agree Laughing
Quarter is my fav Ae song. Amazing stuff. Chiastic was very
good, but far from my favorite though. I'm part of the Tri
Rep crowd, even though on the whole I like the late stuff.

yeh I love arch carrier too.. the part when the synths drop
and just the main melody + beat stays and gets more
erratic..
