Ok - I was getting a bit suspicious that old reliable cheap-cds.com wasn't so cheap any more. no problem. it's even cheaper if you sign up for Reader's Advantage ($10 a year and you can have a 2nd account for your girlfriend or whoever at no additional cost). that puts an additional 10% off every item. |

well do you usually buy new releases, 'cause cduniverse is one of the best I've seen for upcoming and recent releases. I don't know, I guess you could shop around each time you order. three cd's isn't a very big sample. |

damn.....thanks for sharing that. i too thought CD universe would be comparable/inexpensive. you should check bestbuy.com (i only ask because i order from there too along w/bn.com cos they have free shipping) i signed up for readers advantage (from bn.com), and it's a GREAT deal (and my bf gets his own card =) has lots of other benefits as well....not just 10% off...other instore stuff of which i can't think of right now! |

It's the shipping that hurts cheap-cds and cduniverse. They'd be right in line with bestbuy and amazon if you could nix that. |

ok, here's a test using a pre-order (twoism), a recent release (new max tundra) and one that's been out for a while (abbey road). cdnow: doesn't have twoism listed cduniverse: $41.06 cheap-cds: $39.08 (2 not in stock) bestbuy: $40.97 amazon: $42.46 bn: doesn't have mastered by guy at the exchange listed damn, that took too long. |

yea.....that free shipping is the deal. and believe me it's just as fast.....i usually get stuff in 5-7 days......which is worth it, cos i'm patient! btw.....bestbuy does not require 2 purchases.....just so peepz know! |
