Being in the woods on your own is one of the scariest places
to be. Especially at night. Brrr.

bad taste isn't scary. its VERY good, VERY funny, VERY
gross, but not scary.

Society is a good one. thats pretty scary in a weird way..

especially in the beginning, when the baywatch-kid has
recorded his parents and his sister talking about having sex
with eachother..

Tobe Hooper did most of the creapy soundtrack himself i
think.

Early review =)

"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a vile piece of sick
crap...It is a film with literally nothing to recommend it:
nothing but a hysterically paced slapdash , imbecile
concoctions of cannibalism, voodoo, astrology, sundry
hippie-esque cults, and unrelenting sadistic
violence as extreme and hideous as a complete lack of
imagination can possibly make it".
-Stephen Koch,

Harper's, November 1976

The most scared I've ever been after watching a movie was
probably after watching the first half of It when it
premiered on tv, I was like 9 years old and didn't sleep for
days I think... THEY ALL FLOAT!

Awww, you big softie ;) I hope you read the book to
compensate for the awful script in that TV movie. Most scary
movie for me - American Werewolf in London, every time. The
fact that the moors scenes were filmed very close to my city
makes them seem even worse, they have a real eerieness about
them.

No, eerieness is probably not a word. So sue me.

yes, I did read the book, pretty dawm good too... I really
liked it, it was longer than an erect elephant cock but
there's some really disturbing shit in there, and one hell
of a story ta boot

Fuck man you saw the woman in black ??? I thought I was the
only one. That has to be the scariest film ever. I totally
jumped out of my seat during 'the scene you can imagine' (no
spoilers ppl!)

Yup... my house is surrounded by two huge seperate wooded
areas, and in my wee years, they were the source of much
adventure and FEEEEEAAAAARRRR!!!! EEEEEKKKKK!!!! I loved the
Blair Witch Project because I've always loved the woods.
