uhh... all i can say is "needs improvement"

if this is your first attempt at music making though, that's
different. in which case, a good start, but keep it up and
i'm sure you'll be making some great songs in the future.

yeh, that is my first site, the tracks on there are in quite
disjointed . im working on quite alot of different styles so
i plan to create different artist names for the different
styles
which track was it that you thought needed improvement ?

offline BILE from São Paulo (Brazil) on 2002-11-06 20:28 [#00431155]

alive in the dark was ok. not much into rap/hip-hop though
personally

I'm downloading the first one now--I'll check out the rest
tomorrow ;)
60% downloaded right now...

Well thanks for checkin it out anyway, i update it regularly
and ive got another 4 tracks that will be up on there soon
sort of fucked up electro/breakbeat/jungle style

offline Spookyluke from United States on 2002-11-06 20:40 [#00431169]

Hmmm it's decent, but it doesn't change. Seems like the one
drum loop repeats endlessly while distorted vocals and other
atmospheric sounds fal around it. It just needs more. Some
bass or a melody, or drum fills, maybe. Just friendly
suggestions--no offense meant. ;)

offline Spookyluke from United States on 2002-11-06 20:45 [#00431173]

ooh, I know--this part toward the end where it gets
quiet--maybe blast a synth through there, or it could be a
good place for a tempo change.

Spookyluke: i'm downloading all 15 of your songs, listening
to "Wax" at the moment. it's a little plain, but very nice
too. I like it

offline Headloc from United Kingdom on 2002-11-06 20:47 [#00431177]
Points: 101 Status: Regular

no i aprieciate it, and i know, you are right, it is just
one drum loop repeating itself over a track. but i did it in
the fastest time ever and i just didnt realy give a fuck
about it, i know with a bit of work it could be alot better.
but at the moment im working on bigger and better tracks

offline Spookyluke from United States on 2002-11-06 20:48 [#00431178]

Thanks :)
You can stream the entire record.
Wax was my second track ever (I was fourteen when I made it)
:)

Any feedback is greatly appreciated by the way. :)
I'm making an enhanced CD for my CD "Broken COmputer" it
will have production credits, cool interactivity, bonus
tracks, and files for remixing :)

yeh im listening to broken computer. its alright,
atmospheric. i like it

offline BILE from São Paulo (Brazil) on 2002-11-06 20:51 [#00431184]
Points: 1769 Status: Regular

well, i'm on a high-speed connection, but when I tried to
stream the songs, it kept rebuffering every 2 seconds, so
I'm just downloading them instead. i've got "broken
computer" on now, this one is much better, very cool. the
beats could be a little better, but so far they've been cool
songs anyhow

offline Spookyluke from United States on 2002-11-06 20:54 [#00431188]

Thanks a lot :D
I need to get some shut-eye though :)
from the bottom is bleah--it's a short piano piece I thought
would be fun, but I don't really like it much anymore ;(

french rapping!! ha ha, I love it. They're probably rapping
about the finer elements involved in painting poodles. wee
wee. This is good, words are better when you don't know what
they mean.
The first track had a repetitive beat but non repetitive
grinding sounds, it really got going there, quite
entertaining.

try www.mp3.com/snarkle if you want

trickle- eh, so so... good sound quality.. it seems stuff
like this would take a lot of space for wav files but I
probably don't know the technique.
no rehearsal- I normally don't like live instruments much
but this is pretty good.
calceos- interesting. sounds like your trying to do fast
complex beats, but not really achieving maximum complexity.
tracker software like modplug which i use is perfect for
making those.

how do you make music? mostly with a microphone?
modplug is old but it'll do as a tracker example, it doesn't
take long to download or anything. probably
sharewaremusicmachine.com You just enter wav files into a
big column (with 64 other columns so you can have
simultaneous parts going at once)

I like how he burps in the beginning. It wasn't even a
strong burp which was a nice touch considering poodles are
weak little dogs.

i use Reason 2 and i still use rebirth for some tracks but i
have just recently started using cubase sx, which is proving
to be pretty cool. im just having a problem getting the
latency right with it, like when i change a setting it
happens like a half a second after

don't you have to store lots of megs of wav files for
something like that though?

the rapper in question is a good friend of mine, He is a big
black bastard aswell, he deffinatly aint no poodle.
I cant speak a word of french either, i just have to hope
he's not talkin shit when he raps. but i trust him, im
workin on a track for him to rap on at the moment using some
cool 'Talking Heads' samples. should be good when its done

such is the power of the snarkle effect (playing
simultaneous octaves of a beat)
I always wanted to hear yodeling as rapping, I guess french
rapping is as good as I'll get... retarded nerd rapping is
awesome if you havn't heard it try www.mp3.com/tchony the
song "outtie"

that luke vibert remix is a remix of two tracks:

Re-rewind by The Artful Dodger
and
Rewind by Cylob (which is where the Macintalk voice comes
from)
