I've tried to find the answer to this question in various
ways across the internet and not succeded:
In Blade in the Night Club scene at the beginning they play
a tune by New Order. It's that very recognisable sound. It's
been sampled on the tune Operation Blade by Public Domain
and by Warpgen and the Aqua Brothers. I know it's by New
Order but for the life of me I can't remember the actual
tune. I really want to get that as it's great. The tunes
that sample it are just shite and are no match. Any help
would be great.
Thanks

You mean "Confusion"? It's a remix on the blade
soundtrack...

Dunno if the soundtrack was released on vinyl... and as it's
a remix in the film it may not be the same on the original
album it featured on. Good luck man!

Aaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhh! I refuse to mix on CD. Downright
refuse. If there is a copy on vinyl I will hunt it down.
That said I have managed to pick up th Fight Club soundtrack
on vinyl. Purely for that stonking credit music. Far too
short. I'm going to hunt this down on vinyl though. I will
have it. Oh yes.

Ha ha! Purely by coincedance that's one that I thought
didn't exist on vinyl! By the credit music, do you mean the
pixies track (only non-dust brothers track)? If that's the
case, if I can find you a copy of "Death to the Pixies" (the
album that track is from) on vinyl would you swap it + £5
for the fight club soundtrack?

Or do you mean the intro credit music?

I mean the intro credit music. I'd possibly cry if I had the
pixies tune. I love it.

Most vinyl cutter acetates don't last too long, esp. when
scratching- unless they have one of those shiny new
unreleased vestax £10,000 cutters...

Giginger: Yes, that track was only on the import edition...
You should be able to track "Death to the Pixies" down on
vinyl in second hand stores. The kid upstairs plays that
track all the time...

I should do it actually as it's a toss up between that and
Debaser to being my favourite track.

It's really weird as the track is right in the middle of
another. Stealing fat I think. So weird. I like the way they
did the soundtrack though. Names not coincideing with their
placement in the film. Subtle.

Is debaser on the same album? I don't have that...

Yes, it is in stealing fat too :)

Stupidly I own no Pixies albums. My friend had them all and
I listened to them one day and was hoooked (and stoned). I
bought a compilation album that had debaser on and I jumped
for joy when I heard it and founf it to be the song that'd
stuck in my head. Saw Frank Black at Reading last year.
Fucking great. But didn't play my two favourites. Curses. Do
you see?

Ha ha, I went to a blur gig, mainly because I wanted to see
"Sing" live and it was one of the only good tracks they
didn't play (must of been about 30 tracks they did in
total).
