I'm in love with the track Flow Coma remix by AFX - 808 State, so I ask to the 808 experts: Which album do you suggest me by them?

There's that really famous track by them that's re-released every few years. I forget the name. I've got a 7" of them vs. MC Tunes that's pretty good too.

Something that made me think "atlantic drive" or something similair. I don't think it's actually that, but I associate the title with that.

Is the 808 state remix of 'Into my world' worth anything to collecters on vinyl?

808 State had varying amounts of street cred in the late 80's early 90's, when A Guy Called Gerald was still a member the produced their best work, even though they went on and gave the guy NO recognition whatsoever for helping to kickstart their career. Newbuild is without doubt one of the most important albums released in that era, that and of course Geralds 'Voodoo Ray'. 'Ninety' is a decent album although some it sounds quite dated, EX:EL is slightly ropier although it did sound mint when it came out, particularly the multilayerd production which tasted very niec with a cup of LSD. But for their best work try and track down the collaboration with Jon Hassel, 'Voiceprint' an amazing track that sounds very contemporary, even by todays standards. unlike Cubik, in yer face and any of that shit they done with mc tunes

I think the track is "Pacific State" (808 State) which is on of those amazing early house tunes that came out in 88 or summat.

I downloaded the album united state 90, but it is nothing special, imo.
Apart the track "Cubik" that was very famous in the first techno period here in Italy.

Ah, didn't know AGCG was a member!
Diablo: Yes, that's it! Cheers, that track reminds me of lying on the bed in my brother's room reading DC comics whilst listening to electronic music from around that time. I think I was about 9/10 when I first heard it. I love that track.

newbuild still sounds great 14 years on, and ninety is quite good (still).
i lost interest after that, they started to do stuff with barney sumner & neil tennant etc which just sounded dull.
gerald simpson was the obvious talent of the group. if you compare gerald's hot lemonade album with nintey by 808 state its pretty obvious.
there's also a 12" called born in the north by a guy called gerald, if anyone has it i'd bite their hands off.

Well, I'd get your hands on Utd. 90 (which is the american release of Newbuild, but it has more tracks), Ex:El, and 808:88:98.
All three albums are great, and whatever you do, make sure to get your hands on all the versions of 'Pacific.' It's a classic!

My mistake, I meant to say that utd. 90 was the American release of the album '90.' Get the american version, it's better as I said earlier.
