so, what do you all reckon is their best album?
me, i'll pick Meddle. thats about the time when they picked
up their sound and complexity. i've just been listening to
alot of them lately, great band.

try syncing up Echoes to "2001 SO" match the 3rd ping up to
the first frame of the graphic...truely awesome if you get
it right....it worked perfect the first time for me...

yeah, theres so many stories about syncing floyd up with
films, but i've never tried it.
i read somewhere that Radiohead - OK Computer could be
synched up with 2001.

The Wall, or MEddle... The Wall because it's probably the
best concept album around (imo anyways) and Meddle because
Echoes kicks MAJOR ASS!!

I really like Meddle, but erm, what's up with Seamus and San
Tropez??? They are kind of weak.

So that leaves Dark Side of the Moon.

i like seamus and san tropez.
but, to answer your question, san tropez was recorded solely
because the studio requested a commercial song. so, waters,
pissed off and cynical, did a blatently down tempo jazzy
thing. i still like it though.

and yet they release One of These Days as a single... hmmm,
actually, did they release it as a single? Hmmm, if I'm
wrong just ignore this post... :)

I'd say Dark Side of the Moon, then Wish You Were Here, then
Animals. The Wall has some great stuff, but I skip about 80%
of it. That's not good.

I don't even consider Piper a Floyd album, really... just so
different, so SYD! The Madcap Laughs is my fave
Floyd-related album.

i've been reading up on them lately...its kinda sad that
they can't put personal differences aside and just play some
fucking music you know...

i'm not a huge fan of them solo....i don't like dave gilmour
solo tracks/albums and i don't like solo waters etc. they
seem to work well together despite their differences

but who knows if they could ever pull it off again...at
least putting out something the equivlent to their past
work(s)

I can't stand solo Gilmour or Waters... these fuckers need
each other more than John and Paul.

One of these Days was released as a single along with seamus
and the other disc was released with fearless

couldn't agree w/ u more ophecks...i guess thats why i
dislike a momentary lapse of reason and the division
bell...

i can only stand a handful of tracks from each...they're to
gilmoury IMO

Wish You Were Here is my personal favorite then it's the
wall and then dark side and the division bell.

i LOVE pink floyd!!!!

i cant pick one favourite album (surprise surprise)...
....Dark Side of The Moon, Meddle, The Wall and Wish You
Were Here are all favourites...
(i like almost all their stuff though)

the thing about The Wall is that quite frankly i get sick of
Water's pathetic whiny self-pitty...
...its very depressing but its SOOOOOO GOOD

btw, i've heard that if you start Dark Side Of The Moon at
the beginning of The Wizard Of Oz, the two are perfectly
synchronized

(i dont remember exactly when you have to start the album in
relation to the movie though.. )

does nyone know if this is true?

Wish You Were Here is another great album of theres... maybe
my third favorite Floyd album... I never really liked Dark
Side that much... sure it's good and all, but far from my
favorite of theres...
