Ive just bought myself an AKAI s5000 sampler. its a lovely machine, but I have no sequencer! I have tried using cubase, but cant figure out how to do anything on it after 2 weeks!!! Should I stick with it or try some other software?? Ive heard cubase is the best (so takes ages to learn) but I'm impatient;) Any ideas?!!?

yes it can. i would stick with cubase though. once you're into it you'll find out that it's a very flexible program which gives you a lot of possibilities. but that's just imo...:)

ok i will keep trying. the main problem is i cant get it to play my sampler! i set midi in A to keyboard and B to pc. set channels B 1-16 up with samples on sampler and added notes in cubase then played but no midi went to sampler!

Have you defined the proper MIDI-out port on the track you are sequencing with?

well ive set it to use soundblaster PCI midiout for each track then set the channels 1-16 for each track and made them all midi tracks+added events. the s5000 is set up ok so must be something i have done in cubase.
