hello

Can someone help me find some strange music please.

No beats please, I need to find music that has the effect of
inviting the listener into the speaks and on a journey
within a new world.

Thanks

if you're ok with non-electronic music,
check out works by ligeti. for example: Lontano,
Atmospheres, (Nouvelles) Aventures, 2nd String Quartet,
Requiem. very imaginative music imo (and strange...).

yesssss, Raymond Scott's Manhatten Research is wicked. Check
out www.basta.nl for Raymond Scott's stuff.
You can check out amazon for Ligeti's music.

That old movie with Leslie Nielson, or is it the animated
one?

What was the one with Leslie called? It had some weird
sounds in it, for such an old flick.

No-one will tell me if that Fantastic Planet is the animated
one, cos if it is I have it on tape somewhere. A very
strange film, but very involving. I recorded it off the TV
by accident and couldn't bring myself to tape over it again.

apparently, you could buy the soundtrack..its probably out
of print by now..

i did however find it on soulseek a few weeks ago and have
it on my computer

the film really is great..the only thing i didnt like about
it was that the subtitles were really hard to read at
times..due to their color in contrast to the colors behind
them

get cds by Richard Devine!! His Alea Mapper cd is basically
beatless...lots of textures that grab you and take you in!

she did a bunch of weird electronic soundtracks.. a
clockwork orange and the shining to name a few

morton subotnick has some really great bizarre stuff too

and look for stuff by isao tomita... a bit like wendy carlos
i guess.. did weird electronic reworks of classical pieces
